Chapter 13

-Dan's last day Alive-

I sat in the despondency hospital room watching Dan sleep. He just kept getting weaker day after day.
I was to deep into thought that I hadn't realized Dan woke up.

"Phil?" Dan waved his hand in front of my face trying to get my attention.

"What? Do you need anything?" I asked

"Do you think I'm gonna live?" He replied giving me a look telling me he was serious.

"I don't know. I'm sure you're gonna get better." I reassured him

"I don't think I'm gonna. I'm not getting better at all." Dan argued

"Let's stop talking about this." I commanded

"Phil if I don't survive this though don't forget about me okay" He muttered

"Don't worry I could never forget you!" I told him.

--------------Few hours Later---------

Dan and I are currently playing Life. Dan was winning since he knew the game better.

"Yes I get to have twin girls!" Dan cheered while putting the two pink pegs in his red car

"Your car is filled now." I said

"Duh Phil" Dan laughed

"Does that mean you win?" I asked

"No whoever gets to the end of the board first wins" Dan stated

"This is kinda confusing" I chuckled

----------------Next Morning------------

I was awoken by the sound of nurses rushing into the room.

I was wondering what they were doing till I realized Dan had stopped breathing.
I was pulled put of the room and told not worry. How could I not worry? It was Hours of them getting Dan to breath again only to stop the next second till he was really gone.

Dr. Mike Fuentes was the one to tell me the horrible news. I knew Mike could understand cause he lost his brother to cancer.

Once I had calmed down a little Mike took me to a private part of the hospital so he could talk to me.

"I know how hard this is." He said

"Just don't give up it gets better. I promise." He told me

"Thank you for everything" I cried
