Chapter 10

The Funeral (flashback)

I sat down with Louise as tears ran down my face. I looked around at all of me and Dan's friends and family. Everyone looked so miserable.

"Phil Dear, I miss him" Dan's mother said while coming in for a hug.

"Me too" I told her while hugging her back

"You made him happy, you know" She said

"He made me happy" I told her

"Thank you Phil"

"For what?" I asked her

"For being Dan's best friend" She spoke with a little crack in her voice.

"Come and join us for Dinner tonight, Phil" Dans mum said

"I'd love to" I said

(At Dans old house for dinner)

While Dan's mum was making dinner I decided to wonder around the house.

When I got upstairs I saw his old bedroom door with tears welding up in my eyes.

I slowly opened his bedroom door and saw Pokemon cards And band posters.

I just stood in the middle of the room and cried.
I didn't here Mrs. Howell walk in.

"Phil?" She asked

"Oh sorry I just wanted to see his old room. There are lots of memories of him here." I told her

"I know you boys were the best of mates" she said starting to cry.

"Dinners ready" Mrs.Howell told me

"Okay" I spoke

And we both walked to the kitchen with a strong sadness.
