FIVE YEARS LATER - 40 ABY

"I'm going to kill you." Pandora threatens, glaring at her parents.

"What? We didn't do anything." Din claims, holding his hands up.

"Oh, really? What's that?" She says, rolling her eyes and pointing to the young massiff rolling around on the ground.

"It's a gift, sweetheart." Cordelia tells her. She groans and buries her face in her hands.

"Are you kidding me? I can't have a massiff around-" She argues, cut off by the sound of excited squealing.

"Leia, wait!" Poe calls, chasing after their young daughter, who had turned four this year. He closes the front door to their house behind him, shutting it quietly.

Leia ignores him, running straight for the massiff now staring at her. Din quickly tells the creature that he is to protect her and the massiff relaxes. She reaches the creature and stops, barely able to control her excitement.

"Mommy, can I pet it?" She asks, jumping up and down. Pandora sighs but nods, and little Leia starts petting the massiff. It rolls, exposing its belly and she giggles as she scratches it.

"How's baby Henry?" Cordelia asks Poe as he reaches them, wrapping his arm around his wife.

"Ben and Rey are inside trying to get him to sleep. He's been putting up a fight, though." He answers.

"What the hell is going on out here?" Rhys calls. He and Finn approach from their house, next to Pandora and Poe's. Their two girls, Arden and Nora, follow behind, talking excitedly to one another. They had adopted the twins soon after the war ended, and they'd just recently celebrated their 10th birthday.

"Did you guys get a pet?" Arden gasps, staring at the massiff.

"Yes, we did." Pandora sighs, accepting the creature is now part of their family.

"His name is David." Leia declares, smiling proudly. Arden and Nora quickly join her in fawning over the creature, finding sticks to throw for him to chase.

"Favoritism much?" Rhys scoffs, glaring at his parents.

"We're picking yours up next week." Din tells him. "He'll guard the house and kids too."

"Thanks guys." Finn says, elbowing his husband.

"Right, thanks." He adds distractedly, smiling as he watches his daughters playing with his niece and her new pet.

"What's going on out here?" Ben asks as he and Rey join them in front of the house, the baby monitor clipped to his belt. They'd finally gotten their one-year-old "nephew" to sleep after lots of crying. He spots the kids playing with the massiff and laughs.

"Shut up, Ben." Pandora tells him as she glares at him.

"I didn't say anything." He replies, getting his laughter under control.

"Come on, Pan. Now we have two new additions to the family." Poe teases.

"What?!" Comes a collective shout from all the adults.

"This is not how we wanted to tell you." Pandora says, glaring at her husband.

"Sorry." He mumbles, moving away to join the kids, trying to avoid her anger. She sighs and shakes her head.

"Yes, we're having another baby. No, we don't know the sex." She tells them. Cordelia and Din both start crying as they pull their daughter into a hug.

"Why are you always hugging when I get here?" Grogu asks as he approaches.

"Pandora's pregnant again." Rhys tells him.

"Perfect. Another kid to call me their favorite uncle." He teases.

"I hate you." He says, glaring at him.

"I love you too, little brother." He replies.

"Uncle Grogu!" Nora shouts when she spots him. The kids squeal and rush towards him, pulling him into a group hug as they begin excitedly talking over each other.

"We've got a babysitter for the week. Be happy." Finn tells his husband, kissing his cheek.

"Are we not good enough with your children?" Rey jokes.

"Of course, but Uncle Grogu's everyone's favorite." Rhys replies bitterly.

"Oh, get over it, Rhys." Pandora tells her brother, rolling her eyes. The two siblings begin to bicker, and the others roll their eyes.

"I forget how annoying they are." Ben jokes.

"Don't you dare!" She says, bringing him into the argument.

"Some things never change." Cordelia sighs, leaning into Din's side as they watch their kids and nephew argue.

"We've married into an annoying family, haven't we?" Rey chuckles, wrapping her arms around Finn and Poe, who'd rejoined them after seeing his wife's anger redirected at her brother.

"Oh, definitely. But we love them." Poe replies.

The argument is suddenly drowned out by an approaching ship. The kids each run back to their parents as the ship lands, and the ramp lowers.

"Auntie Bo!" Leia shouts when she spots the woman walking down the ramp. The kids take off towards her, leaving Grogu behind.

"Ha! How does it feel?" Rhys teases, laughing so hard he can't catch his breath.

"Cut it out." Din says, shaking his head at his sons.

"What are you doing here?" Cordelia asks as Bo reaches them, the kids clinging to her legs.

"I had a weekend off." She answers.

"You 'had a weekend off'. Is that even allowed?" Pandora asks.

"I'm Mand'alor. I can take a weekend off to visit my family." She replies, pulling Din and Cordelia into a hug. She hugs each couple, wishing she could visit them more often. "Where's little Henry? I haven't met him yet."

"He's annoying. Stay with us." Leia protests, pulling on Bo's hand. She laughs and lets the kid pull her back towards the others. "This is David. He's my new best friend."

"There aren't any more family members to interrupt, is there?" Din jokes.

"No. Lando and Chewie were busy." Cordelia adds with a laugh.

The adults join the kids and Bo in playing with the new massiff, happy to have a weekend just for family.
