"Sawem!"

Salem turned around confused hearing his name then a smile broke out, "Princess Aurora! What are you doing here?" he asked as he swung his backpack over his shoulder as he crouched down to her level.

Aurora giggled as she hugged him, "I go school here silly."

He widened his eyes in play shock, "No way, so do I! Is it your lunchtime too?" She nodded her head, "So cool, do you want to hang out with me and my friends?"

"Can I, peas?" she asked nervously seeing the two guys behind him just patiently waiting.

"Sure Chipmunk," one of the guys chuckled.

"Aurora, come on, time to sit at our table," a kindergarten teacher said gently as she walked over to them. "Let's leave these students alone and have lunch with our friends," she held out her hand.

"Sawem my bestest friend, Miss Amy," Aurora protested shaking her head. "I eat wif Sawem, peas?"

"It's okay," Salem nodded, "I know Aurora and her fathers, she can eat with me, Miss Amy."

"I'm sorry but until I have permission from her parents and yours—"

"Hey Salem, I didn't know you go to school here too," A surprised voice said from behind them.

"Hi Luke," Salem smirked as he waved.

"Daddy me eats wif Sawem peas?" Aurora asked excitedly.

"Sure kiddo, we can eat with Salem," Luke said nodding.

"Yay," Aurora beamed as she hugged Salem who chuckled.

"Salem, you forgot your lunch...oh hi."

"Thanks Mom," Salem smiled as Rose walked up to them with Zeus right by her side.

"Hi, Miss Rose," Luke smiled as he held out his hand.

"Hey Miss Rose, did you bring up something to eat too?" Salem's two friends asked hopefully.

"You know I did, Jackson, Josh, I don't know why you ask every time," she said as she held out the three lunch boxes.

"Yes, you are the best mom ever!" Jackson groaned happily as he hugged her. "Seriously, adopt me, please Momma, I'll even do chores!"

Rose giggled as she hugged him then Josh. "You practically live with me anyway, so you know you're my unofficial adopted sons."

"Family is choice," Luke smirked. "We're proof of that."

"For future reference and I can document it, do you give permission for these students to sit together during lunchtime?" Miss Amy asked, watching the whole scene in awe.

"We have no problems with it," Luke smiled as Salem took Aurora's hand and helped her sit at the table while Jackson slid a napkin over to her.

"It's okay with me," Rose nodded as she clutched the bottom of her shirt.

"Sawem my bestest friend Daddy," Aurora beamed up at him.

"And you are my bestest girl friend," Salem chuckled, "these two are my bestest boy friends, Jackson and Josh. They can be your friends too."

"Yay!" Aurora smiled as she took some bracelets off her wrist and held them out to the three boys.

"Awesome, I love it, thanks!" Josh beamed as he held out his hand for her to put it on.

"So cool, thanks!" Jackson smiled as he did the same.

"Thanks, Princess," Salem said as he spun it. "I love it."

Miss Amy walked back over to the kindergarten section while Rose sat next to Salem while Aurora sat on the other side of him. Jackson and Josh sat across from them while Zeus laid under the table. Luke sat next to Aurora and helped her open her lunch box while the three boys opened theirs.

"Wow, thanks Mom!" Josh smiled as he pulled out the fixings for meatball sub sandwiches, chips, grapes, blue berries, and bottles of water with flavor packets. "This smells so good."

"Me have sandwich too!" Aurora smiled as she pulled out her sandwich, string cheese, apple slices, and juice bottle.

"Awesome," Jackson smiled as he held out a chip for her.

"Thank you," she smiled as she handed him an apple slice.

"Do you boys have your keys?" Rose asked as her phone pinged.

"Yes Ma'am," all three boys nodded.

"My doctor had a cancellation, so I—"

"Go Mom," Salem shook his head, "we can walk home."

"I can bring them home," Luke offered, "I'm picking up Aurora today anyway, it's not a problem."

"It's up to you Boys," Rose said as she stood, "just let me know the plan. You know where the snacks are, I shouldn't be gone too long."

"Is Aunt Sally going with you?" Salem asked concerned.

"Yes," Rose nodded, "She is heading home now. Jackson," she turned to him, and he chuckled.

"No joyriding, I promise Momma," he smirked.

"Thank you," she smiled as she kissed each of them on the top of their head. "I'll see you when I get home, make sure to bring home the lunch boxes."

"Yes Ma'am," they said in unison making Aurora laugh.

"Bye bye Miss Rosie."

Rose smiled and hugged her, "bye bye Princess Aurora."

"Bye, Miss Rose," Luke winked at her.

Rose smiled softly, "Bye, Luke."

She left and Luke turned to Salem, "She's more talkative today."

"For now," Salem nodded, "It's not something she can always control."

"It helps no one gives her..." Jackson trailed off looking at Aurora, "it helps that the teachers accept Mom for the way she is."

"How do you know, Mom?" Josh asked curiously.

"Sawem protect me from meanies at skate park," Aurora said proudly. "They mean me, push me down, Sawem yelled at them. He said I can skate too and teached me a lot. Miss Rosie show up, I know Miss Rosie and Zeus from TikTok. We take pictures."

"Yes, we did," Salem nodded. "It was couple days ago when you couldn't make it."

"Let me guess, Adam and his group," Josh rolled his eyes.

"Yeah," Salem nodded, "but you know him, he's just talk. They left right after so Princess Aurora and I had the park to ourselves."

"Miss Rosie skate too," Aurora pointed out.

"My bad," Salem chuckled, "Mom skated for a bit too."

They finished eating and Jackson winked at Aurora as they all stood. "Have fun learning, Chipmunk."

"Yeah, learn a bunch of things, okay, Goldilocks?" Josh chuckled.

"Knock it off," Salem rolled his eyes before he hugged Aurora, "we'll see you after school, Princess."

Luke chuckled as he left the school. Once he got in his car, he opened the group video call. After everyone joined, he teased, "You'll never believe what just happened."
