"Wake up"

"Jungkook..."

"You promised...."

"You can't die without fulfilling your promises."

"You promised to save her."

"I... what?"

"Wake up! Listen to your heart son. What does your heart say?"

"My heart?"

An image flashed from his memories, a faint one, but bright, unlike his other memories which were prone to darkness. The image eventually cleared, showing a pair of wood eyes and a face of a young girl sitting on the floor with an anguished expression across her face.

The scene seemed familiar to Jungkook, the discomfort he felt of being subjected by those eyes, it left a mark on his heart. But where did he see those eyes?

Wait...

"Rose?"

Jungkook opened his eyes abruptly, being attacked by the reminiscent of the past, his eyes maniacally scanning the whole place just to find Yoongi, Namjoon and him prisoned in the shadow capsule.

"Considering the stab on your abdomen, you'll probably die in like... One hour?"

A voice echoed from the throne, unflawingly dripping in malignant. Jungkook squinted his dizzy eyes trying to compose his blurry focus to see a black appearance sitting delightfully amidst the dark.

"You know, I had a life before I met you all," Taehyung flaunted the swords in his hands as it glinted, "Well it was not that great though."

But his malignant voice was muffled by the hundred of intense thought in Jungkook's mind. The matter of betrayal was endurable but Taehyung was the one who did, was insurmountable grief upon his heart. His heart was in great agony by the poison of betrayal that Taehyung made him drink.

Jungkook never thought even in his dreams that Taehyung would stab him. Even twice.

How foolish he was. He should have known betrayal means to be betrayed by a friend.

How foolish he was to distance himself from others when his own ones were planning against him.

But now is not the time to cry over something like this. He can't let himself be broken and forget what he has came for, even if it means it could be his death, he will protect everyone. His brothers, His peoples. Rose. Jungkook abruptly searched for Rose, ignoring Taehyung.

Perhaps he noticed his ignorance, Taehyung informed with a smile, "Don't mind worrying about her. She is certainly safe with me."

Just then something slid in the air, revealing a girl in torn dress, closed eyes and a stabbed chest. The blood dropped on the tilt of Death as it glowed bright red like a molten lava. The girl's expression was ugly with anguish but she was too in delirium to take note of it.

"ROSE!!!" Jungkook punched the shadow prison like a wild animal, totally forgetting the wound on his abdomen that started bleeding more.

"Stop barking, she is alive. Despite the fact I wanted to finish her off."

"YOU DARE LAY A FINGER ON HER AND I WILL KILL YOU!"

Taehyung laughed as if this was the bestest joke made in this foolish world, tilting his head back like a maniac, his laughter echoed in the empty hall. Slowly regaining his posture, he said,

"My, my, I wouldn't dare to lay my fingers on her!"

"I'll just simply throw her in the abyss, lock her in prison and stab her. Sounds tame right?"
