CHAPTER 9

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Cebu Pacific welcomes you to Manila..."

Naalimpungatan ako nang ugain ni Hiro ang aking balikat. "Wake up, Sam. We're already here."

I blinked my eyes several times before looking around. Agad kong kinuha ang luggage kong na sa aking harapan, ganoon rin si Hiro. Nang sabihin na ng flight crew na maaari na kaming lumabas, humikab ako at bahagyang sinapak si Hiro.

"What was that for?" ungot nito.

Nginisihan ko lang siya. "Sarap mong sapakin."

Napailing lang ito at natawa. Naputol ang usapan namin nang sumabat ang kasamahan naming inhenyero na si Mr. Hans, "Hey, lovers. We need to go."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Hiro at natawa nang mahina. Moments later, he winked at me before helping me carry my luggage out of the plane. We heard the flight attendant murmured thank you on our way out of the aircraft. Naunang naglakad si Hiro pababa ng plane habang kasunod ako, the other three were behind me. Looks like I'm the only girl of this cicle of heads. Hindi na ako nagtaka pa nang inabot ni Hiro ang kanyang kamay upang alalayan ako sa pagbaba.

We immediately headed out of the arrival area. May nadatnan kaming mga taong may dalang banner na may tatak na Rial Company. Napagdesisyonan namin na manatili sa hotel na pagmamay-ari ni Kaius kung kaya't hindi na kami magtataka kung may susundo sa 'min sa airport. Nilapitan namin ito at nagpakilala, the head of the three guards leads the way.

"Shall we visit the site today?" tanong ni Hiro habang naglalakad palabas ng airport.

"I'll take a rest, Hiro," I murmured. "Wala akong matinong tulog kagabi."

He frowned. "Why?"

"I was thinking how to start making my assignment." Dang, I was thinking of my son.

"Oh, okay?"

"I'll pay him a visit today," nakangiting sambit ko sa kausap ko sa telepono.

"Kai would be happy to know this," sagot ni James sa kabilang linya.

I chuckled and hung the last dress that's on my luggage. Kasalukuyan akong nag-aayos ng gamit sa silid na aking gagamitin habang ginagawa namin ang paliparan. The place is quite huge. Mas malaki pa sa condo ni James sa Cebu.

"How about sharing me your location? Hindi ko kabisado ang pasikot-sikot ng Maynila," I said.

"Yeah, sure. I-si-share ko ang live location naming. Also, bring extra clothes for you to spend the night here. I know naman na kating-kati ka nang makatabi ang anak mo," pagtataray niya.

I chuckled. "Sureness."

We both say goobye's before turning off the call. Binuksan ko namang muli ang closet at naghanap ng damit na susuotin ko, at ang damit na babaunin ko. Hiro and the others visited the site immediately, while I just went straight here and didn't bother to come with them. Mas uunahin ko munang puntahan ang anak ko kaysa bisitahin ang lupaing walang kalaman-laman.

Nang makapili ako ay agad akong naghubad. I went to the bathroom and slightly gaped at the view. Is this the most luxurious condo here in Rial's Condo? Because for me, I think it is. The bath tub is colored with gold, o baka gold nga talaga ang bath tub na ito. The interior of the place is such a mood, with LED lights colored with purple at the corners of this bathroom.
