CHICAGO IL,
RENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
(This is NOT a real school)
Jayla's POV:
I'm at my locker gathering my books when I see Riyah walking towards her locker and unzipping her book bag. I decided to exam her "fit" for today. She had onna white short sleeved crop top, with grey sweats, and her white Air Forces. I looked at her hair as It looked like she'd got it blown out. I smiled to myself as I reminded myself of how much hair she always had. It was 4b and thick but, It was down to her waist. Her mother always grew her hair out ever since she was 4. I snapped out of it as I could began to feel myself zoning out.I put my book bag in my locker and closed it, walking over to Riyah to see her getting her books out. "Wassup fren" I said smiling. "Hey Jae Jae" she said back. Riyah was always the quiet introverted type. She wouldn't speak until spoken to and her voice was very quiet but soothing. Everytime she'd talk her voice would come out as a whisper until she had to speak a little louder for the teacher to hear her. She wasn't very good with communication which is why she also struggles with anxiety, not just by the bullying of that bitch Tasha
"Ight let's go" She said closing her locker. We walked down the halls to first period. Everyday we had this lady name Ms Jones for Reading Class and to be honest ion like this lady, she give me "ion get paid enough for this" type of vibes. She always mean mugging the fuck outta her students like bitch you chose to be a teacher and work here it ain't our fault. Plus, if it wasn't for us bitch you wouldn't be getting paid right now. But anyways, I start catching a lil attitude or whateva because I gotta deal with bs everyday from people I could give a less shit about.

Mariyah's POV:
We make it to first period and I could easily sense an attitude from Jayla. Today's Monday and every Monday we have Ms Jones for first period. Not gone lie this lady is rude asf ion see how she ain't get fired yet. Me and Jae Jae always sat next to each other since her desk was next to mine and we start talking while waiting for the teacher to come. "You good girl?" I whisper to her. "Yeah I'm good bestie just a lil irritated" she whispered back. We sat in a comfortable silence, me trying to come up with words to say to ease the tension although Jae Jae was always the one doing the comforting.Next thing you know Ms Jones comes in with the same ugly briefcase. Of course I ain't say nothing because me and Jae Jae already don't like this woman and the LEAST we need right now is detention. She sat her briefcase down and opened it, revealing layers of paper some even falling out and dropping to the floor. I turn to look at Jae Jae and saw her holding a laugh as she continued to stare at the teacher. I found it funny myself that is until I heard the woman yell "WHO'S LAUGHING?!" I could see Jae Jae turn her head away in the corner of my eye.
'This lady is fucking annoying' I thought to myself rolling my eyes as I opened my notebook and got out a pink mechanical pencil. 'This is gonna be a long day' I thought as I began to listen to the strict ladies lecture.
