LUNCHTIME

                             Jayla's POV:

"I swear she get on my damn nerves! always trynna find ways to punish us like girl you talk so much I could go to sleep in any moment!" I said crunching on my hot fries. "Yeah.." Riyah said looking at her sandwich. "Dang! my momma prolly gonna beat me or take my phone!" I said eating another chip. "Right.." Riyah replied. I turned to look at her and saw she was staring at her sandwich with a gloomy face. "You good girl?" I ask her. "Yeah Jayla I'm fine" Did she- did she just call me Jayla? what happened to Jae Jae? Un Un  my bestie instincts started kicking in and I got into protective mode.

"Riyah I've known you since we were kids don't you dare lie to me" I said with a deadpan expression. "Why aren't you eating?" I ask. "Huh?" she said. "You've been staring at your sandwich this entire time and haven't touched it" I said matter of factly. "Oh..um I'm just not hungry" she replied. "Is this about Ms Jones? look Riyah I know your upset but you still needa eat" I said pointing at her sandwich.
"No I'm fine really" she said looking at me. My expression now turned from deadpan to serious. I know Mariyah has bad anxiety and I can definitely tell that lady's words got to her but, I'm not about to let her disregard her body's needs because of some dumb teacher's words.

"Mariyah" I say with a serious expression. "Either you eat your food or I'll feed you it myself I'm not about to let you ignore your body's needs because of some stupid teacher. You're my best friend and I love you will all my heart but, if I hafta take matters into my own hands to make sure your good then I will" I said. "I care about you a lot" I added. Guessing by my expression and the tone in my voice she knew I wasn't playing. She thought for a moment then took a bite of her sandwich. I smiled at her and finish the other half of my own sandwich.

Mariyah's POV:
"Mariyah" Jae says. 'Uh oh she's serious now' I thought. "Either you eat your food or I'll feed you it myself I'm not about to let you ignore your body's needs because of some dumb teacher. You're my best friend and I love will all my heart but, if I hafta take matters into my own hands to make sure your good then I will" she said. I swear my heart fluttered when she said that. "I care about you a lot" she added. 'Aww I'm gonna cry I love her so much' I thought. I let her words sink in and finally took a bite of my sandwich. She smiled at me and finished the other half of her sandwich.

Jae Jae knows me better than anyone else I've ever talked to in this entire school. Even the drama that happened in the past with our old friends she never once, turned her back on me. She was there when I needed her the most and she still is. Even in our sophomore year she was there and showed me plenty of love and support so hearing those words from her really warmed my heart and pushed the anxiety and negative thoughts about the class punishment into the back of my mind.

I'm so lucky to have her, we used to have a decent circle of friends but a few new transfer boys were assigned to our class and every girl was fan girling about them. Even our own "friends" was drooling over them and started talking about them a lot doing our friend hang outs or conversations. The boys were ALWAYS brought up in the convo. It got to a point where me and Jae Jae would get irritated every time they'd mention them, it made us wanna leave and forget about them. Until one day, Jae Jae was assigned a group project where her partner was one of the new boys.

One of our friends "Amani" had saw Jae Jae and the boy working together and got angry. I was currently working with someone but it was a girl and I was way in the back of the class room so I couldn't see what was happening. All I knew was that I heard Jae Jae's voice arguing with someone and before you know it they started fighting. I immediately got up from my seat and tried to break up the fight but Amani started hitting me and I got an adrenaline rush and started attacking her. But, due to my burst of energy my attacks were brutal and her face was bloody.

Me, Jae Jae, and our "friend" all got suspended and while suspended, Amani decided that she wanted to take shit on social media because she was in her feelings. On her story she wrote "Bitches be mad cuz they can't get a nigga and they always wanna fuck with everybody man cuz they ugly and miserable" First off, I might be shy but,when it comes to Jae Jae I'll step outta character and show you a whole different side of me. Second, MY BEST FRIEND AIN'T UGLY girl she TEN times PRETTIER than YOU. Duck ahh hoe only got one bundle in her head and call that cute GIRL BYE ✌️.

Then she subs Jae Jae username at the bottom. Jae Jae saw her story and replied saying "Bitches wanna be petty and take shit to social media then ima be pettier. Don't try to act like ian beat cho ass the otha day, cuz baby you sayin' all this shit now but wouldn't dare say it to ma face. Den have the nerve to sub me like bitch go get some bundles fa that head df 💯" and subs her username at the bottom.  She also added "And Riyah beat cho ass too and had yo face bleedin 🤡🤣"

After that post, it got a lotta comments on it and everyone was talking about it in class. Amani was mad and wanted to fight Jae Jae again so they ended up fighting a few more times (which i ain't jump in because I want Jayla to do her big one and get her credit) Jae Jae got suspended those other times and Amani got expelled.  At first, I didn't want Jae Jae to fight anymore cuz I was scared she might get expelled but, surprisingly she didn't because my bestie got them A's and perfect attendance ✨
