Ashley had felt you were one of her girlfriends already, when she was at home under her helicopter parents who were so concerned for her safety that she could not go out with her friends without extremely close monitoring which seemed to dim all possibilities of close friendships. Here you were, her first female bodyguard, close in age.
Her arm was interlocked with yours. It was adorable watching her be so overly excited about having someone to talk to, and the presidential gossip she had was outrageous. Leon had started walking suspiciously close to get his ear in, even if he insisted on being disinterested.
"So then I heard banging from my dad's secretary's office, like literally they were going crazy because I could hear them moaning and the desk scraping against the floor with each thrust... So I went in to go and check because I thought my dad was cheating and I knew his secretary had a boyfriend waiting for her at home. You will never guess what I saw."
"Who?" You asked quickly.
"The Vice President and the secretary's brother, he works in finance way lower down. But that's crazy! He has 2 kids and a wife! And the Vice President has a wife and 4 kids!"
You and Leon just stared with your mouths wide open, both of you had met the vice president at the end of your training graduation, who knew he was secretly a homosexual when he was helping to introduce anti-LGBT laws?
Ashley saw you were both speechless and continued. "So I ran out, thank god I'm good at sneaking around because that would've been complicated if they had seen me. This was all last week and I haven't had a chance to do anything about it because you know, I got kidnapped, I don't even know what to do. I want to tell their wives but they both have kids."
"Tell their wives, and make a public scandal out of it but make sure you report it anonymously. And Leon could help you build up a case against them because no way that homophobic husband cheated with a man. Right, Leon?"
"I think you're getting distracted from the mission..." He said, looking ahead. Then he quickly added his enthusiastic idea behind the facade of a disinterested voice. "But, we could get some cameras and mics set up, maybe get some press photos from the windows."
"So you were listening?" You giggled, nudging his arm. He rolled his eyes and nudged back.
"Good hearing. Couldn't help it."
The three of you continued to talk about your approach and even more hot White House scandals. You had ended up walking up a hill and seeing a castle, the conversation quickly dying out when you came to a moat that immediately slammed down for you the second it came into your line of sight. Your smiling instantly stopped as you looked at each other seriously. He led the way with his pistol in his hands, you positioned yourself closer to Ashley. As you entered the grounds, your and Leon's radio started to call.
"Hola, Luis here. You guys still around?"
"Well we wanted to go home, but Ashley just had to see this castle first," Leon said.
"Perfect, because I had a present I wanted to give you. Medicine to help suppress the progress of your... problem."
"Where do we find you?" You ask.
"Let's see... Come to the courtyard inside of the castle. We can meet up in there. Ciao!" The sound of the call disconnecting came from the radio as he cut off.
It was all made of stone lit by blazing torches, the entrance of the castle beyond the gate was mostly an outside area with some rooms on the sides, stables and stairs leading to the rest of the vast castle. Its size was astonishing, it took up an entire island.
