final year of ug uni and you need to see this

For those who don't know: UG = undergraduate

Idk where else the same system of education works, but here, in my country and my course of English Literature, the tier goes from bottom to top like: Undergraduate > Post graduate > Masters of Philosophy > PhD

And I'm hoping to do PhD in English Literature, so yeah, that estimates around at least 5-6 years more of academics for me :")

Currently, I'm in my final year of UG, and I'm utterly saddened that it's coming to an end. But here's a glimpse into what we're studying this semester:

Im reallyyyyyy liking this subject called Language And Communication this semester, but it's as tough as it goes. Like the names in the pic above are just languages from which English originated. I'll show you another example of what I'm strangely loving (?) this semester:

Those weird symbols are actually certain sounds that we make when we pronounce the words. I REALLY don't know how else to explain.

Im glad that I don't have to study THIS elective because like do you see this

HOWEVER

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE CHOSEN:

I have to write a research paper and give a presentation on it next week T_T

I guess there is no escaping stress :")

BUT THIS IS MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT THIS SEMESTER:

TWENTIETH CENTURY MODERN BRITISH POETRY :DDDDDD

Okay but jokes aside, I already love the concepts so fricking much, like where has this subject been in all my previous 4 semesters?

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THISSSSS

AND YK THE BEST PART? THERE'S A SEPARATE UNIT FOR POETRY WRITING AND RECITATION THIS SEM!!!!!!!!

Other than this, we have the fourth subject called American Novel but like okay meh (I still like it but why are we studying The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn in this day and age?)
