It was a quiet fall day, not a wind chill in sight. But the leaves were falling and the sky was crisp. Now for the families it all seems alright. Till another day, with another sorrow, the girl cried, "I hate you!" Like there was no tomorrow.

"Back in the basement you go!" Said the woman who swiped her hand across the young girls face.

"But!" The young girl cried.

"No buts! You deserve what you deserve!" The older boy kicks the girl once more having her tumble down the basement stairs.

Softly she cries. The young boy stands their in fright, but knows he has to upset her to be loved by his parents.

"You deserve every moment of this," the young boy walks down the stairs and whips her with a belt and ties her up. He looks her sadly in the eyes.

"I'm sorry" he mouths. And continues to hit her. He walked out the door and locked her in but unlocking the window.

"I hate this so much," he mumbled to himself.

"Jared! James! Julian and Justin! Dinners done!" The mother called in a motherly tone, but knowing it wasn't so motherly to the young girl.

"Mother, I'm going to eat in my room if that's okay?" I feel a little bit sick," the young boy whines. The mother nodded and gestured him to his room.

"Finally," the young boy sighs and locks his door, he walks to his window, setting down a rope ladder to the basement window. He climbs down quickly and quietly.

"Hey," he says softly causing the young girl a scare.

"It's okay Harley, don't move, I'm coming in," the young boy climbs into the basement and sits with the young girl, removing the tap off her mouth and feeds her gently.

Time passes, the two siblings give a slight giggle to each other.

"I hate to do this, but I need to put this back on you, I promise you will will escape soon, I'm going to help you," the young boy smiles at his younger foster sister. His smile saddens at the thought of having to beat her once more, but the older boys are worst.

The younger boy climbs back through his window and unlocks his door, pulling in the ladder and closing the window, he lies on his bed with a plate of food and his journal.

"Did you enjoy your dinner?" The mother comes in an starts a conversation with her son. He hides the journal out of sign.

"Still finishing but all was well," the young boy answers politely to her. Not really acknowledging her.

"Good because I need you to be big and strong for the brats beating tomorrow morning," the mother says and the young boys smile fades as she walks away out of his room closing the door.

The boy stays in his room thinking of a plan and writing in his journal, blocking out the screams of his younger sister pain, which he hates so much.

There were no phones or technology usage in the Fredricksons house besides Julian secret phone, the life was private and only those who knew, were the only ones in the house. When Miss Miller had to reach the family about the visits it would be by letter, and even sometimes that would take a life time to reach.

"Hey James you should see this!" The young boy fears to what he's about to see but puts on his manic persona and walks down to the basement. The young boy sees his foster sister hung by the hands and ties tighter to the walls as she's mauled by a bat.

"Get her good!" The young boy says but you could tell he didn't like it and wanted it all to stop. The young girl was bleeding from her wrist and mouth, she just wanted it to be over too. The sadness in her eyes looking at her brother was painful.
