Iris:Raven, feeling better?
He sat down in front of the monitor.
Raven:fine
Iris walked over with a cup of coffee.
Iris:what you got today
She was about to take a sip when she saw Raven staring at it. She moved it from side to side and his eyes followed.
Iris:do you...want some?
He took the cup.
Raven:caffeine
He swallowed the whole thing.
Iris:I didn't mean all of it!
He gave the cup back.
Iris:fine I'll just make another one I guess
Raven:shut up. Briefing
The Monitor came online.
Walter:got a Job for you 621. This one's from the Arquebes Group
Iris:is he gonna do that every time?
Arquebes:Raven, this request is from Schneider an Arquebes subsidiary. The mission will take place in the Bona Dea Dunes of Wesr Belius. Our coral investigation is being stopped by the STRIDER a Rubicon Liberation Mining ship
Images of the STRIDER appeared.
Arquebes:you are to destroy it. The STRIDER is a mobile resource base that was heavily weaponised by the Liberation Front. Call it the crowning glory of their effort to militarised into an anti-corporate force. Your attack will focus on the Eye a large laser Cannon connected directly to the main generator. It's protected by a shield which is powered by four sub generators, these should be your first targets. This concludes the Briefing, good luck
The Briefing ended. Raven stood up and cracked his neck.
Iris:your not actually going for this right?
Raven:yes
He turned to his AC and walked toward it Iris following.
Iris:if you get hit by that laser your fucked
Raven:I won't
Iris:that thing is a walking fortress. Balem tried and failed to take it down
Raven stopped.
Raven:Balem?
Iris:yeah...I saw it. Wipped out half the force sent
Raven turned back.
Raven:they won't be expecting one AC coming
Iris sighed.
Iris:at least take that
Raven turned to see a weapon for his AC.
Iris:it's the DF-BA-06 Xuan-GE. Biggest fuck you to whatever your pointing at I could find on the market right now
Raven:how much?
Iris:half my pay...but we need some new gear so...there your welcome
She crossed her arms and looked away.
Iris:do you...like it?
He noticed her looking away, he went to place a hand on her shoulder but refrained from doing so.
Raven:it will be a valuable asset especially on a mission like this. Thank you Iris
He climbed into his AC and Iris smiled a little.
Iris:yeah we'll don't expect me to do it again! And don't break it!
He gave a thumbs up after he put his helmet on. The hatch the AC closed and he stepped out onto the rail bridge.
Walter:good your up. How you feeling 621?
Raven:fine Boss, ready for the mission
Walter:good, it's what I like to here. If you move across the rail bridge you should get close to the STRIDERS current location
Raven:moving now

NARRATOR POV
Walter:get through this dust and link up with the STRIDER
A sand storm had arrived out of nowhere as Raven arrived. This sand storm maybe to his advantage.
RLF:Unidentified AC sighted, must be one of the Corporations Dogs
Or not.
RLF Commander:activate the Eye and burn them alive!
He saw the silhouette of the STRIDER and a blue flash of light at the back end.
Raven:shit...
The Eye fired and Raven barely avoided it. He began boosting through the desert ignoring the enemy MT's shooting at him. He did end up making to a point where the Eye wouldn't hit him.
Walter:good your close enough now, take out one of its legs grind it to a halt
Raven went on a small hill and fired his new bazooka. It destroyed the whole support for the leg.
Raven:good purchase
Raven moved out the way as the STRIDER fell.
Walter:alright now we've got a foot hold to get on. Get to work on those Generators
Raven flew up taking out small arms turrets as he did. When he got to the top he noticed the STRIDER detaching the back part he was on.
Walter:their trying to shake you off 621 don't let them
Raven flew down under the STRIDER and landed on a platform. He saw the first generator and destroyed it.
Raven:shield should be weakening
Raven flew back upward only to narrowly avoiding the laser once again. He hid behind the next generator. He was quick and took it out as he went by hooking round the STRIDER and taking out the left generator. He then flew to the top and destroyed that one.
Walter:sub generators off-line. Head to the front and end this 621
Raven:copy
Raven saw the Eye twitching and malfunctioning. He fired all his missiles and bazooka. It done damage but not enough. The laser fired and Raven wasn't able to dodge. He was hit but his shield was able to lessen the damage but in doing so his shield was destroyed. The Eye then fired missiles that Raven boosted to dodge. He continued his fire until one of the missile hit him. He lost his rifle but still held the Bazooka firmly in his AC's hands. He took aim and fired a final shot before the Eye could fire again and he destroyed it.
Walter:confirmed target destroyed. Get out of there 621 it's going to blow
Raven picked up his rifle and flew off as the STRIDER fell. Raven turned to see it.
Walter:see that 621? It's blowing itself up...fitting end for something doomed to fail
Raven continued looking at the fires he caused.
Raven:(mumble)at least they tried...wish I could sat the same
