NARRATOR POV

Iris:what's this job?

Raven:The RLF wants me to investigate a BAWS weapons factory

Iris:surprised they want to hire you especially after the STRIDER and the Wall

Raven hopped in his AC.

Raven:I shouldn't take long

Iris:cool, imma go scrappin

The AC hatch closed and Raven left travelling along the rail bridge.

Iris:could've at least said "be safe"

She stretched.

Iris:okay!

She grabbed her gear and made the descent down the pillar. She travelled through the forests avoiding RLF and Corporation patrols. She would loot any downed MT's and if she was lucky an AC. It was near the end of the day and she was on her way back.

Iris:got a good haul. Few batteries, spare wire and I even found some bullets and since Ravens been here I haven't had to go hungry in three weeks

She placed her bag down next to a tree and searched through it.

Iris:no more breaking into bases to steal food and water for this girl-

An explosion sounded scaring Iris. She ducked down and frantically looked around. Her eyes fell upon a newly destroyed MT and a large AC standing in front of it. Iris recognised it...shed heard the tales of him and only seen him once. V.I Freud, Commander of the Vespers. In the Vesper Commanders hand was a fiery reck.

Iris:what's he doing out here?

Freud's AC turned back to look at something toward the bottom of the cliff behind him. After that he flew off.

Iris:oh well. I better go before...

She was about to leave but looked at the bottom of the cliff face where Freud was looking before.

Iris:but then again...one peak won't hurt

She made her way over and found a large AC hanger in the base of the cliff.

Iris:must be a secret Arquebes base...must be if they got V.I on standby

She looked closer and noticed there were no personal at the Hanger and only one AC.

Iris:wait that's not an AC...

She ran up to the hanger frequently looking behind her to see if V.I returned.

Iris:woah...

Inside was a PCA Light Cavelry Unit and it was heavily modified.

Iris:since when did Arquebes have PCA tech?

Iris then pulled out something similar to a phone but more chunky.

Iris:hey is this Walter?

Walter:is that you girl? 621's busy right now so-

Iris:I found something you might be interested in. It involves V.I

Walter was silent for a moment.

Walter:talk

Iris:he was guarding an HC from the PCA in this hanger. I'll give you the coordinates

She pressed a button on the communicator.

Walter:I'll send 621 your way when he's finished up

Iris:that might bot be enough

Walter:meaning?

Iris:I might need the AC helicopter

Some time past and it got dark.

Walter:strange...what's PSA tech doing outside of their territory?

Iris:is it abandoned?

Walter looked up at the modified LC.

Iris:why was V.I here?

Walter:for whatever reason he was he hasn't come back?

Iris:not that I've seen

Walter:what about you 621? Anything?

Raven was ontop of the cliff in his AC.

Raven:nothing. Are we taking it?

Walter thought.

Walter:can you pilot one?

Raven:I'll figure it out

Walter:and you...can you fix it?

He looked at Iris.

Iris:I can fix anything

Walter:then we're taking it. Give it a full check up at base. 621 load it up

Raven jumped down and landed in front of them.

Raven:yes Boss

He spoke through the speakers. The LC was a fair bit taller than Ravens AC but with effort he was able to lay it flat inside the AC helicopter. Walter was taking off.

Walter:make your way back I'll meet you there

He left.

Iris:hey!

Raven looked down to see Iris holding her hands in the air.

Iris:do it!

Raven picked her up and put her on his shoulder.

Iris:I love this!

Raven:I don't...

After an hour they made it back to Base. The LC was laid flat on the railbridge in front of the Bade entrance. Iris was on its chest.

Iris:here's the problem

Raven jumped up next to her.

Raven:what?

Iris:there's no cockpit

Raven:really?

Iris:yeah nothing, like it got ripped out...

She then thought back to V.I and what he was holding in his left hand.

Iris:V.I did this...he opened the hatch and ripped it out

Raven:must of been so no one can use it

Iris:maybe...I can fix it. Next time you down an AC grab it's Core

Raven:I'll see what I can do. Walters got another job

The two of them jumped off and walked inside.

Iris:know anything?

Raven:he says its not from any of the Corps or the RLF

Iris:oh ho! Ominous!

(I hate BAWS Arsenal Number 2, so we are skipping that peice of shit)
