Sunlight.
Fresh air.
Wind that carried a soothing breeze.
The bright colors of the outside.
The sound of children laughing as they played.

A distant memory that was soon to be forgotten.

Various families were camping out in the forest near the fields, enjoying the environment they were in currently as they played with their kids. The kids laughed and giggled, playing with their friends and siblings as they kept near the hill area that their parents instructed them to stay in. Everything was going as planned, per the expectations of the parents while they took out plates and set the foods on them.

"Kids! Lunch time! Come eat before it gets cold so that you can have more time playing!" An adult called out to the kids and waved them over. They obeyed and scrambled over to the table as they giggled. "Alright, settle down everyone" a woman said as the kids took a seat and took the plates being handed to them.
"How are you all enjoying the forest?" One adult asked the kids, which they all replied their answers to him. "Alright alright. I hear you all. It's great that you are enjoying this, because it's one of the few places where forests grow. As you know, tree life is disappearing faster than we can control. Soon we may not have this chance to go here, as it's also expensive." The main adult said, gesturing to the trees and the forest all around them. The kids nodded, understanding what he meant.

"Why are the trees disappearing?" One kid asked suddenly. The adults looked at each other with some doubt as to how they will explain it before someone stepped in to explain. "Because we cut them down for fuel...and sometimes we do damage so much that we can't fix what we break. We hope that by bringing you here, we can teach you the importance of preserving nature, so that it will continue to exist...when we won't. It's the least we can do, and we are hoping that all of you will promise that you will protect nature" the adult woman said to the kids. The kids smiled and nodded, saying "we will" firmly. The adults smiled and nodded as well when they heard the response with the kids.

"Alright then. Eat up and then you can continue playing in the woods!" another adult said, making the kids cheer and begin to eat. They ate somewhat fast and then went to the forest to play with each other. One of them was Asim Angus, a young kid who accompanied his little sister as they went through the bushes and trees to explore. He kept an eye out for her sister as he too searched around for plants and objects he would find to keep and take back home. "Look what I found!" his sister exclaimed, making him look up and around as her sister came back carrying something. It was a beautiful blue flower that his sister had found. "This flower is so pretty! Can I keep it?" She asked. "Sure. We can. Just stick close to me as I still have something to find so we both go back together." Asim said to her, examining the flower and looking up at her sister with a smile. "Can't I go back to mom and dad all by myself?" She pleaded. "Sorry, but mom said for me to take care of you wherever you go. It won't be safe if you get lost, even if you know your way home. Don't worry, we will go back as soon as I find something" Asim said to his sister. She pouted a bit before nodding in understanding and waiting for him close by.

Everything seemed peaceful around the forest. Some birds chirping as well as some insects with the rustling of the tree leaves moving because of the wind. There was nothing to worry about

Nothing to worry about, when suddenly something whistled from the air and then landed close by, exploding in a great fireball. Some of the people shouted and fell back because of the blast as chaos erupted. Everyone started screaming as more whistling sounded above in the sky and more small explosions erupted from the ground. Asim and his sister shouted and fell forwards from a nearby explosion, making their ears ring as they tried their best to recover. They started running to where their parents were, who were sheltering besides the car as they called for their kids. Asim shouted to his sister to go ahead to get to their parents as explosions burst all around them.

Until an explosion happened next to him that tore tree pieces all around, one of them knocking Asim to the side along with the shockwave as he felt something solid crack on his back and everything went black.

Darkness still encircled him as his ears rung, Asim laying down with ash and bruises covering his entire body. Some fires crackled nearby all around the deserted and destroyed place, smoke lingering above the air as the air smelled of sulfur. Everything was destroyed; trees, bushes, items, trailers, cars, tables...and even some people.

Something white above began to light up the area, illuminating the torn place as more lights scanned the area in search for something. One of them hovered above the injured and unconscious body of the child by the name of Asim, footsteps approaching rapidly as men in high-tech armor and suits began to appear from the smoke. One of them knelt down beside the body and pulled out a tablet, scanning the boy for something until the tablet thrilled as if finding something.
["Sir. The readings of his biometric code...they are within the high acceptable range."] one of the soldiers said to the leader. ["No good. The explosives landed too close to the camp to make the adults run off in confusion and instead killed them. We failed. Leave him, he's already dying"] he said as he started to walk away and order his men to search the area. The one with the tablet looked down at him and checked the vitals. ["But sir, he's still alive and kicking. Some minor injuries to the spine, yet he has the potential to recover quickly and be accepted to the program."] the soldier said, standing up. The leader glanced back at the unconscious body of the young one, thinking thoroughly before making a hand sign to two soldiers to take the boy.

A helicopter began to descend, blowing some cinders and ash off as it landed on the ground. Asim groaned a bit as his eyes opened just a bit, seeing the destroyed area where his family once was before the doors of the helicopter closed and everything faded to black again.
