Asim was so baffled by the fact that the clan leader spoke English(with the native accent)...that he almost didn't pay attention to what he asked.

"Of course" Asim said to the question they the clan leader said. He knew that there was no way he could attempt an escape and make it out of the place alive. So Asim decided to answer the leader's questions and hope that he didn't have him killed in the end. "Good. First question; what is your name, and why are you still here?" the leader questioned Asim, his cold eyes not holding a flicker of emotion. Asim looked back at the leader with a straight face before answering. "My name is Asim Angus, and I was wounded during the fight against the na'vi. I should have died, but then I woke up with an arrow through my body all fine and alive. When I woke up, I went in search for the direction that would lead me towards Hells Gate, but then I was chased by na'vi. I managed to loose them and go back to my journey, and was close to reaching the place when your hunters found me and chased me. I fought, and then your thanator creature caught me." Asim said, moving his head to glare at the thanator creature that was hiding behind the crowd. It narrowed its eyes back, knowing that Asim was definitely referring to them and snarling. The clan leader moved a had to them to calm down before turning his gaze back on Asim.

"It has been so many suns since the war with the skypeople has ended and they have left our land. How did you survive for so long?" The clan leader demanded, stepping closer. Asim doubted a bit if they were going to believe him or not, and then it hit him. He had survived for so long, asleep and dead in the forest floor when he should have died a long time ago and nature was free to do to his body what it normally does to dead and decomposing things. Asim didn't know how that was possible or how he was here all of a sudden, awake and alive surviving the first two days on a planet that was deadly even to the strongest and resilient humans. How could he explain it to them, if they don't know the truth? But all of what has happened to Asim was the truth itself, and there was no other version of it.

"I awoke two days ago, doing the best I can to evade predators that would eat me. The only things I had to defend myself was a knife and a pistol, which are gone now. And I have been eating what edible fruits I could find as well as seeking refuge high above in the tree branches at night" Asim explained to the clan leader. The leader looked at Asim with the same face before moving on. "How are you breathing our air? You skypeople need your crystal mask to breathe, or our air will kill you. Yet, here you are breathing like us. Why?" The clan leader asked. That was something Asim did not know. Maybe because he was genetically modified and...could adapt his biology easily? No, that wasn't possible with breathing, or he would have rapidly evolved to breathe underwater by now. Furthermore, he had to know what caused him to suddenly breathe Pandora's poisonous atmosphere. And how could the natives possibly understand about genetic modification and experiments that only humans knew? The same thing that was used on creating avatars, or "dreamwalkers" as the natives mostly referred to them. So, Asim told them what he was in reality.

"....I am....a soldier....a warrior....different from the rest...As for how I can breathe...I don't know...All I know is that I once died, and now I am alive and breathing. That is the truth I have" was all he managed to mutter so the leader could hear. Yes, it was the truth, the only truth that he could say and know. Lying didn't exist in the na'vi culture, and it didn't exist in Asim and his friends as it would be considered dishonorable. If the clan leader and the natives didn't believe, then so be it. But he knew now that wether he lied or told the truth, at least he said something before the na'vis executed him. Which was what it seemed like they were about to do as the leader said something in the native language and made a hand gesture to the ones that held Asim captive. Soon he felt what seemed to be a knife made of bone be placed near his throat and another one being placed behind his spine. Then the one that accompanied the clan leader, the woman, stepped closer to Asim and looked down upon him. "My mate has told me what you are, and for what your kind has done to our clan in the past, we cannot let you live. Tell me, tawtute, are you scared of dying?" The woman asked Asim, in close proximity like the clan leader. Asim stiffened up at her close proximity, but would not show her his fear. So he forced himself to stand up straight and harden his face.

"I would prefer to not die, but if I had to, then I would go without hesitation." Asim forced out, surprised at how calm he sounded as he looked up at them with a brave face. He knew that he was going to die, far from the people he loved and cared about like a family and not knowing if they were alright or not. But if they were alright, at least he knew that they were safe, far from where danger was. While he waited for the moment of the end to come, he remembered his life. No, not the life as a soldier who was forced to become something that soon he would regret. What he remembered was the good memories of having a family that trusted him and accepted him, and who went wherever he went to stay far away from all the conflict that ravaged the now dying Earth.

Were there regrets? Some, but in the majority Asim didn't have a single one.

Asim closed his eyes and took a deep breath to hold it, knowing that it would be his last as a soothing warmth was the only thing felt by him...until a collective gasp arose from all the na'vi that surrounded the human. He opened his eyes again and noticed all the natives with their mouths open and eyes wide, staring above at the trees. Confused, Asim did the same and looked up at where everyone was staring at, and also was surprised.

No more than a couple of feet above the heads of the na'vi were a bunch of pure white glowing things. They almost looked like jellyfish, but smaller and they shone with an absolutely peaceful light. Asim recognized these small things, woodsprites as he would remember what they were called. Asim was too amazed and shocked by what he saw to do anything, let alone even speak. There were at least forty of those things, all seeming to group together and spiral above the na'vi bobbing and drifting as if leaves caught in the wind. They then drifted from the na'vi and towards Asim altogether, some of them perching themselves on his body and some hovering around Asim's head like a halo. This caused the na'vi that held him captive let go abruptly as to not interfere with the small creatures. A long moment passed before, just as if someone had changed the lights, they started to leave, floating away from where they once were. Asim turned his head back towards the na'vi and saw them staring at him with mixes of wonder and surprise, muttering to themselves and to each other as if asking what this could mean. Even the clan leader and the woman close to him seemed absolutely shocked by what has happened. Asim was also surprised, but with a face that showed confusion and wonder.

Whatever had happened, the looks on the na'vi on him changed, and Asim hoped that it would be for the better.
