The whole clan that was gathered around erupted in chaos when the enemy na'vi started to attack.

The Ash clan na'vi jumped down from their hiding places up in the trees and began to rain down darts upon everyone. Women and children screamed when other adults were hit by the darts and scrambled away for safety. The Anurai clan hunters reacted as fast as they could to counter this sudden threat by loading their arrows and picking up their spears. Layontsin also brought her spear out the moment that the other enemy na'vi tribe began to attack, giving a loud war roar and lunging at the nearest enemy. Asim went behind her while the others from the group listened to his commands and went to protect the families and other defenseless na'vi being brought into safety. The skypeople began to use their weapons to fight back against the attacking Ash clan, Asim moving to Layontsin's side and fighting alongside her. His weapons still shot the paint marbles at them, but he used them to blind the opponents and then tackle them while using his knife to stab. Layontsin guarded his rear as she swung and jabbed her spear at whichever na'vi that attacked them. They moved around to counter the ones that were on their sides so they wouldn't be caught off guard or injured by an attack, even if both knew they could manage to succeed.

In no time more hunters that got their hands on weapons began to storm out and come to the aid of the two, Rai'uk being one of them with spear at hand and fighting ferociously against the Ash clan na'vi. Some of the ones that have been injured were retreating into the safety of the tight group, while others that, even when injured, still continued to fight on. More Ash clan na'vi were starting to come from the forest, but Layontsin, Asim, his group, and the rest of the Anurai clan held their ground against the attacking enemy. However, some of the members of the Ash clan managed to get through to them, going after the ones that were in their huts and defenseless. Layontsin noticed this and went after them as she left the na'vi she was supporting to fight on. She found one of them about to invade a hut and bring one of the family members out from there, having their weapon out. This sight made the anthro thanator's blood boil as she tore through the ground and went after the na'vi, giving a roar and raising her spear before impaling it tight through their chest. It went right through, making the Ash clan na'vi scream in pain before Layontsin heaved it away from the hut. She looked at the ones that were inside the hut, realizing they witnessed the gruesome sight of her killing the na'vi in front of them. "Sorry you had to see that." Layontsin said as she calmed down a moment, before going after some other Ash clan na'vi that were about to attack other Anurai clan members.

The fight continued on, Layontsin doing her best to keep the Ash clan na'vi away from the families as well as supporting her fellow Anurai clan members safe from getting killed. On some occasions the members from Asim's group went to support her with their weapons. And just in time as a group of Ash clan na'vi riding direhorses attempted to pin her down with vine ropes. They knocked Layontsin over by surprise and attempted to drag her away, but Emeralda and Kentaro quickly came to her air as they used their metal ropes to latch on to the direhorses and make them trip. This caused the dragging to cease and make the riders fall off from their mounts, making them easy targets for the two humans to attack while Layontsin recovered. She went to their air when new Ash clan na'vi began to target the two and encircle them. The anthro thanator gave out her fierce roar and impaled one of the distracted na'vi, making the other knock over as she pulled the one she impaled away. She picked the rest of the Ash clan na'vi away using her claws and hands to throw them away from her, letting them fear with the Anurai clan members. The fighting continued to intensify as more members of the Anurai clan around the village came to their aid and began to fight off the Ash clan na'vi that were attacking. The prolonging fight was starting to tire Layontsin's bones, but she shook the fatigue out and continued to jab and swat away her opponents. Asim came back and this time had his weapons shoot for real, wounding the enemy na'vi almost mortally while his group and other Anurai clan members started to group into the strengthening offensive.

When everyone thought that the battle was going to drag on indefinitely, it started to end.

A horn sound was heard over the battlefield that was raging on. The Anurai clan members didn't recognize the sound, but the Ash clan na'vi warriors did. They started to give out calls and start to retreat back into the forest, dragging their wounded partners away with their arms or carrying with them on their direhorse mounts. In mere moments they began to leave the territory of the Anurai clan until none of them remained, except those that have succumbed to their wounds. Soon the place began to simmer down and remain silent, with the na'vi that belonged to the Anurai clan remaining in battle positions in case there was another attack from the Ash clan na'vi. But there wasn't any that came as a surprise or slowly to make them realize that they haven't given up. Moments later they confirmed that they have truly gone away back to the deep parts of the forest, returning to their own territory. "We made them retreat!!!" A na'vi shouted as they raised their spear, the other Anurai clan members doing the same as they raised their weapons and gave shouts of victory. Layontsin raised her spear and gave a snarl, also shouting in victory. Kentaro raised his weapon and shouted "Bokutachi wa karera o taoshimashita!!!" in his own native language, making the others raise their weapons in the air and shout "OORAH!!!" in victory.

However, the cheers of victory were soon followed by weeping and cries of despair. When Layontsin looked at the clan, she saw that some were mourning for those that didn't make it through the battle. The anthro thanator watched them lament and moved her head down, looking at her claws that were coated in the blood of the enemy na'vi she injured. She sighed and also felt pain, the same pain that she felt when she watched a known one pass away. But this time it was much more painful as their lives have ended much sooner. Taken away by the Ash clan na'vi hunters in such a cruel and unmerciful attack. She began to share the grief of loss with the relatives of the fallen ones, moving to their sides to try and comfort them with some words. Even Asim and his friends showed with their faces that they felt extreme sorrow as they saw the suffering all around them. And then, to make matters worse, desperation started to take over other na'vi as they began to ask for something. "Wait...where is my daughter? I'm sure that I left her in your care." One parent said to a relative of theirs. "I don't know! I left her with some other children to fight against the Ash na'vi." The other one replied. Soon more and more started to question for their children as the majority of them came to see that many of them had lost their children. There was no trace of them wherever they were left before, or outside in the outskirts of the village. It was as if they had vanished out of thin air during the fighting, but then they started to realize what had happened.

The Ash clan na'vi had invaded them and taken the children of the Anurai clan.

More desperation started to set in as they started to demand that they go chase the retreating Ash clan warriors that have attacked. Everything was going so fast from Layontsin's point of view that she almost didn't hear what the skypeople were saying and doing. Everyone from the group was present and gathered around....except for two. "Where is Shaka? And Lily?" Asim asked, the others saying that they saw him in that part but haven't heard anything from him. Then worry started to set in all of them as they looked around and spread out, starting to call for their two friends. They went out to the outskirts to search for them, Layontsin going with them after finishing helping with the na'vi. Some others followed them in their search for their missing friend, also eager to do so along with Layontsin. It took them a moment before they finally found Shaka.

When they came upon him....he was laid on the ground, sprawled and eyes closed as he was seen with wounds on his body. "Shaka!" Asim cried as he and his friends rushed over to him, Mikhail picking him up and examining him. "Oh no....." Emeralda breathed as she and the other contemplated at their family member not breathing or moving. Kentaro moved and kneeled down to extended his hands and place them on Shaka's neck and chest, Mikhail continuing to hold him for Kentaro. "Is he alright? Are his injuries severe or minor?" Asim asked Kentaro, waiting for the answer. After a moment, Kentaro gave a small gasp as he felt something...and then his head lowered down as his face hardened. Then he shook his head and everyone knew what this meant....that Shaka was no more. Asim moved closer, reaching to cup Shaka's face in his hands as they started to tremble. Layontsin looked at him and noticed that his face was slowly turning from hopeful to broken, his face now becoming way more expressive than ever before. "No....no....no....no no no nononononononoNOOO!!! Shaka! NO! Please! DON'T GO! SHAKA!!!" Asim shouted as tears began to leak from his eyes, the same happening to everyone around him as they started to grieve.

And then Asim threw back his head and gave the most anguished cry of grief that the forest has ever heard.
