As you stood in Joshua's bedroom, you couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.

The room was filled with a warm glow from the evening sun, casting a golden hue on his face.

You were lost in his deep brown eyes, drowning in their warmth.

"Joshua, I think it's time for me to head home," you said, your voice tinged with concern.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Joshua asked, with a worried expression.

"No, it's just that Mingyu will be home anytime, and I don't want to intrude on your family time. Besides, you're not feeling well, and you need to rest," you explained, trying to convince him.

Joshua shook his head. "No, I don't want you to go alone. I'll drive you home, it's the least I can do."

Gently, you placed a hand on his arm. "Joshua, I'm not a kid. I can handle going home alone. Besides, you need to rest and recover."

His eyes widened as you pushed him lightly onto the bed. "Hey now, don't be silly," he chuckled, his voice laced with amusement. "I'm perfectly capable of driving you home. And besides, who said I'm sick, huh?"

You raised an eyebrow and crossed your arms, giving him a playful smirk. "Oh, so you're denying that fever and flushed cheeks?"

Joshua stammered, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. "I... well, you see... it's just a minor cold. Nothing to worry about." He coughed softly, trying to hide a smile.

As the both of you were busy arguing suddenly the doorbell rang, interrupting your conversation.

You glanced at Joshua, who looked surprised.

"I will see who it is, you rest here."

"But.."

"No buts, just rest." Before Joshua could protest any further, you run downstairs to open the gate.

"must be mingyu"

As Joshua saw you happily running downstairs to open the gate, he couldn't help but laugh to himself.

"Why is she like this?" Joshua mused silently. "She's so different from me... We've only known each other for a short time, and yet she takes care of me so specially."

You were just so cute and stubborn, and that's what he exactly liked about you.

It hadn't taken long for you to make a lasting impression on him.

Your kindness and attentiveness overwhelmed him, and he couldn't help but feel grateful for your presence in his life.

Despite being relatively new to each other, you made him feel cherished and appreciated in ways he hadn't experienced before.

As Joshua was lost in his thoughts about you, the sound of the door bursting open startled him.

It was Mingyu, He quickly ran towards Joshua and immediately wrapped him in a tight hug.

"I'm so sorry, Josh!" Mingyu exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine remorse.

"I wanted to come earlier, but I had some important classes that I couldn't miss also how are you now? are you feeling well now?"

Joshua chuckled, his eyes crinkling in amusement as he patted his friend's back. "Yes, yes Mingyu I'm alright and Don't be sorry about it, it's totally fine." he reassured him.

You couldn't help but let out an awkward laugh at what's happening Infront of you.

Mingyu turned to face you, looking slightly confused by your reaction.

But as soon as he noticed the amused twinkle in your eyes, he couldn't help but join in on the laughter.

"Ah, sorry for interrupting your tender moment," Mingyu teased, playfully nudging Joshua's arm.

"But it looks like you had someone to take care of you all day."

Joshua glanced at you, his expression filled with affection. "Indeed, I was in good hands,"

As Joshua uttered the words, "You're in good hands," your heart began to beat faster, and a warm blush crept up your cheeks.

You tried your best to hide your reaction, not wanting Joshua or Mingyu to notice, but it seemed that Mingyu was one step ahead.

He arched an eyebrow mischievously, a playful smirk forming on his lips.

"Well, well, well, look at you blushing," he remarked, his tone filled with amusement.

You immediately felt your cheeks grow even hotter, and you couldn't help but playfully protest.

"What are you talking about Mingyu? I'm not blushing!" you argued, crossing your arms in a feeble attempt to look nonchalant.

Mingyu chuckled, clearly not convinced by your feeble denial. "Oh, come on! Your face is practically a tomato right now,"

Joshua, unable to resist joining in on the fun, smirked as he watched the playful banter unfold.

"I think Mingyu might be onto something," he chimed in, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

You turned your attention to Joshua, shooting him a playfully incredulous glare.

"You too, Joshua? I thought you were on my side," you feigned betrayal, though the genuine laughter in your voice gave away your amusement.

Joshua's smirk widened, and he nonchalantly shrugged.

"Sorry, but I couldn't resist," he admitted, his voice laced with amusement and sincerity.

"It's just too entertaining to see you flustered."

You rolled your eyes, playfully swatting at Joshua's arm.

"Well, I hope you both are enjoying my embarrassment," you retorted, a playful grin forming on your lips.

Mingyu chuckled and leaned in closer, pretending to whisper conspiratorially. "Don't worry, we won't tease you too much... maybe," he teased, laughter dancing in his eyes.

You let out a mock gasp, feigning offense. "Oh great, that's comforting," you replied sarcastically, though a smile tugged at your lips.

As the playful banter continued, Joshua's gaze never wavered from the scene unfolding in front of his eyes.

You could feel his eyes on you, and a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness coursed through your veins.

What was happening to you? Why was your heart beating faster at the simplest of comments?

Little did you know, this was only the beginning of a journey that would test your bonds, challenge your emotions, and lead you on a path filled with unexpected twists and turns.
