It was rare to ever see Geo... do much. Well, most of them at least.
You can hear Itto before you spot him. Noelle is always helping around anybody and anyone. Yunjin always holds concerts every other Saturday night for everyone in the society to see.
Albedo is here and there. Ningguang doesn't make frequent appearances. Gorou is usually on the front lines.
Their oh so faithful leader is normally absent. Physically and somewhat mentally.
There really wasn't a reason as to why they were the quietest. Besides having the least amount of members. As far as missions go, they really only get a couple. Most times they're called in for building repairs around headquarters. Or even city cleanup after battles.
However, today was different.
Zhongli stood in front of everyone, tapping on his watch to open a dimensional portal to... who knows where. He hadn't said anything yet, but just called everyone because it was urgent. The message said to come suited up, and that he was.
Zhongli wasn't a fan of the skintight material that hugged his body. Opting to cover everything with a long coat. He said he doesn't like being stared at in public.
Ningguang had argued that people are going to stare regardless. They literally see him swinging from buildings. Although she had a sneaking suspicion that people aren't just gawking at him because of who he is... but because of the suit. She's saving the conversation for another day.
Everyone present was suited up though, and Albedo was actually the last to arrive. He said something about hearing pyro's fire alarm going off, and went to see if a certain someone was at fault for it. She was not, luckily. Because all her damages come out of his pocket.
One can only imagine the damage to his bank account after Miguel's office was blown to pieces.
Zhongli cleared his throat. "I'm pleased to see everyone could make it. Or more so... everyone who actually could attend."
There was an empty spot towards the end of the line, and nobody had noticed the difference at first. It took a moment for anyone to really let it sink in. Although it was the silence that really did it for them.
"Where's Itto?" Noelle asked first. "Oh dear, is he still sleeping and missed the alert again?"
Zhongli shook his head. "Itto's absence is precisely the reason why I sent an alert out." Then he looked down and sighed.
He raised his hand and lit up one of the floating screens in front of him. Clicking through, he pulled up a screen that showed everyone's current locations. It only showed when they had their watches on, but they never took them off so it was helpful.
