When did I first fall for you?
That I can't quite remember.
Call you friend but we both know,
been my muse since November.
See the way you look at me,
how your eyes seem to soften.
I'll take your hand but you should know,
don't do this very often.
It's funny just how well we seem to get along.
Would've never guessed that you'd become my line and I your verse,
your poem, my favorite song.
Lying on your bed as we listen to July talk.
Time stand still dancing between the hands of the clock.
Hold me so tight,
could have sworn it was urgent.

I know that you would say much more.
Strawberry lips stained with sarcasm,
you're rolling your eyes.
Sweet words softly spoken,

Lying on your chest as the sun peeks through the curtains at noon.
Head nuzzled in my neck,
we're reading Poe.
You ask for 10 more minutes,
that was half an hour ago.
Carry me down the stairs,
and walk me to my car.
Just like knowing you exist,
doesn't matter where you are.
It's the thirteenth, and we're dancing in the park.
Kiss me, I can still see how you smile,
even though everything's dark.
You say you don't like coffee,
but espressos all you drink.
Met you again where spoons stir sugar,
and ceramic mugs clink.
Your playing guitar and singing in my ear,
not sure what makes a person home but I think it might be here,
listening to your jokes as I can't help but laugh.
You give me all of your hours
I think you're my other
