Part 2, Chapter 2

"A Little, Not A Lot"

Training began. I met Dr. Lee while she seemed to be taking notes in the laboratory. I barely got a look at some of the notes before Dr. Lee covered them quickly. "오, 장주냐! 뭐 필요하신거 있으세요?" (Oh, Jangjun ya ! Do you need anything ?) We have been training since four in the morning. Mostly the training seemed to be on physical prowess above all else. "What were those notes ? There were countless charts from what I could see..."

Dr. Lee offered an awkward smile as she handed me a towel to wipe my sweat. "Nothing you should worry yourself about. Ask what you came to ask me anyway." The others were still training & it was nearly two. I need to go meet up with Yujin hyung.

I coughed as I needed to be excused. "Can I go into the city ? I need to pick up some necessities for my room. Besides we've been training for hours..." My eyes casually glanced at her pile of notes once again as Dr. Lee gave an awkward smile. "Go, Jangjun. Just make sure to be back by curfew." I nodded as I rushed to get changed & head into town. 

I chose to take a seat at a restaurant. I glanced at my watch a few times before someone sat before me. They removed their hood. This revealed my older brother Yujin. "Hyung, be honest. What were you talking about last night ?" My brother grabbed my hand as he looked a bit worried, "전화해서 미안해요, 장주냐. 그건 내 실수였어요. 모든 게 안전하지 않아요..." (I am sorry I called you, Jangjun ya. That was my mistake. Things aren't safe...) 

Not safe ? What did he mean ? I couldn't think on it much before I asked, "Hyung, what is not safe ?" Yujin hyung sighed as he slid what looked like a familiar form over the table to me. A form much like the one I signed. "S.Y.N.D.I.C.A.T.E. Enterprises is not safe. This is my form from when I signed a few years ago..." 

I thought back to the sweater as I looked up at my brother. "Does that mean that sweater in the Founder' closet belongs to you ? Why aren't you at the company now ?" Yujin looked pained as he seemed like he couldn't give me any of the answers that I wanted. "I can't say, Jangjun. I just need you to promise that you'll not give anyone at that company your trust. They can't be trusted..."

I rolled my eyes as I slid his form back over to him. He hasn't spoken to me in years & now he wants me to put my complete trust in him ? "Then where do you stay now, hyung ? How can I keep in touch ?" Almost instantly my brother objected to this idea. He looked even more angry & worried because I am now a operative for S.Y.N.D.I.C.A.T.E. Enterprises.

My brother put his hood back on before he abruptly left. I managed to get back, but it wasn't in time. Time went by quick, it had already gotten dark. Zero met me at the door. "당신은 오늘밤을 독방에서 보내게 될 겁니다." (You'll spend tonight in solitary.)
