A/n: For the purpose of this story the kids are all younger in this.

Y/n's POV

Sitting on the hotel bed with work scattered around me I fall back into the pillows with a groan wishing for the millionth time today that I was back home in London with Gillian and the kids instead of stuck here in the middle of nowhere on business. Running my hand through my hair I groan when I hear my phone ping and reach for it blindly only to groan when I can't find it making me sit up to actually search for it. Finding it buried under a pile of folders I pick it up and smile when I see that Gillian had posted something on Instagram only to groan when I see that it's a photo of her and Stella cuddled up together which only serves to make me even more homesick than I already was. Liking the post I lock my phone and get back to working on the never ending pile of folders until my phone rings making me groan at the thought of it being anyone from work. Picking up my phone I grin when I see that it's Gillian and quickly answer it making her chuckle on the other end when I nearly drop the phone while trying to put it on speaker phone.

"Eager to answer darling?" She asks when I finally do what I want to and I just hum in return making her laugh. "How are you getting on darling? Are you any closer to coming home?"

"I have three more meetings over the next few days and a pile of paperwork that feels like it's never going to end which is pissing me off. I've also got a migraine forming and just want to come home to you and the kids. There's a reason I work from home Gil, this is driving me insane and no offence but your post isn't making this any easier." I tell her as I pick up another folder and she groans at that making me chuckle. "I know, I want to come home more than you can believe but there's absolutely no way for me to get out of these meetings." I say with a groan of my own as I throw the file aside carefully.

"I'll admit that I didn't really think posting that photo through until I saw that you liked it." She says with a chuckle and I smile as I fall back into the pillows. "I really wish that you were here, I miss you so much and so are the kids. Hey! Piper give me the phone back! I'm talking to your mama." She exclaims which is followed by the sound of running and Piper laughing while the boys cheer her on before a door's closing.

"Mama when are you coming home? We miss you." Piper says and I have to blink back tears at that innocent question because this is by far the longest I've been away from the kids and it's breaking my heart.

"I'll be home in a few days baby but until then I need you and your brothers to behave your your mummy, can you do that for me?" I ask her softly after clearing my throat and can almost see her grinning on the other end. "Will you take me back to mummy or are you and the boys stealing me just now?" I ask with a chuckle when I hear the boys whining about wanting the phone.

"Steal mama!" Felix shouts and I close my eyes with a grin as as I play with my wedding ring absently. "Miss you mama."

"I miss you too baby, I miss all of you so much and I can't wait to come home to you all. Now why don't you go give the phone to mummy and you can all fill me in on what I've missed while you cuddle mummy?" I suggest and can hear them groaning before I hear the door opening and then there's near enough silence as they run back to Gillian. Laughing when I hear her groan slightly I can almost picture the boys jumping on her and sigh to myself as I get up to tidy the files away for the night, there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to focus on them after talking to Gillian and the kids. Shoving them in my briefcase I quickly strip off and fall onto the bed with a huff as I pull the covers over my body. "Kids I said that you were to give mummy the phone not flatten her." I tell them with a chuckle making them giggle while Gillian groans slightly as the kids start rambling about what I've missed which only makes me laugh harder while Gillian joins me.
