His class were clearly a bit nervous, even more so when they heard being struck with a weapon would sting. Then again they knew it would hurt much much more in a real fight, so they gave curt nods and grabbed the swords or axes.

The groups dotted around the field and took their stands, awaiting Xelqua's signal to begin. A shrill whistle, and then they began. Their professor watched as he mazed through their groups. His eyes behind his mask, narrow and keen and his lips always pressed into a thin line. He stopped a few students and had them switch weapons or adjust their stance, which they did with no hesitation.

Eli and Talik watched from under an awning, chatting about little things. Trying to make bets on who would have the least lines; who would have the most. Keeping notes for the professor on what other students needed to work on.

After an hour and a half, Xelqua had them stop and switch partners with someone else after having something to drink. At that point many of the students had glittering neon blue lines across their forms which with a hand of Xelqua's hand faded away.

The new pairs, again, scattered around the field and, again, Xelqua signalled them to start. There were more students who needed to be pointed back in the proper direction. How to hold their weapons right, how to properly stand even, how to strike with the different weapons.

Though he noticed that slowly, one by one, his students would stop and look up to the roof. Even Talik and Eli had moved from the awning and looked over. Before they all bowed their heads with respect.

He followed their gaze, to see the three council members looking down at them, standing on the edge in the shadows of the sky. He bowed his head to them, before whistling again and his students continued as if the three were not stalking them from their perch.

He looked up again and they were gone and he shuddered, fixing his mask and pushing the thought out of his mind and went back to instructing his students for the rest of class, giving them breaks to hydrate and relax.

Even though they were all tired, he could see the excitement in their eyes afterwards and it made him smile.

Xelqua dropped his head a bit, tilting it looking at him causing him to fall silent. Which made him laugh. "╎ ∴╎ꖎꖎ リ𝙹ℸ ̣ ʖᒷ ꖌリ𝙹∴リ ᔑᓭ ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ 'ᓭᒲ╎ꖎᒷ||' !¡∷𝙹⎓ᒷᓭᓭ𝙹∷." He shook his head.

Myles and the others snickered, grabbed their things, and they separated. Calypso and Krishna followed Xelqua to his class, which was odd to him. "ᓵᔑリ ╎ ⍑ᒷꖎ!¡ ||𝙹⚍ ℸ ̣ ∴𝙹?"

He didn't reply as he let them into his class and closed the door. "It's nothing for you to worry about. Only a small thing that isn't your concern. You two should go to your rooms." He shook his head and yawned.

The girls narrowed their eyes at him, before sighing. "Okay..." They groaned and left. Xelqua smiled and went to his room for the night.

"How're you holding up, X?" Martyn asked, knocking on the door of the Admin's home in Hermitcraft. Said Admin opened the door and let him in, shifting. "Portal travel made it hurt more for a bit, but it's alright now...as alright as it will be until it's fully healed."
