for young matildas star freya maddock, it's tricky to stay focused on soccer when there is a certain sam kerr on her mind. but without feeling as though these feelings are mutual, she must attempt to ignore her attachment to sam.
After many tearful goodbyes this morning, the Matildas camp was now over and the girls were going their separate ways.
Sam and Freya's flight back to England was at 11AM, so they had about half an hour until boarding. The two sat at their gate in silence, exhausted from both the drive to the airport and the early wakeup.
Freya went on her phone, checking the comments on her recent instagram post.
