"How come the king is still alive?" Alexei smirked. "Have you changed your mind?"
"No, it's just that my plan didn't work," I said irritated.
"What happened?" he asked me.
"He doesn't trust me," I replied. "I'm afraid he knows something."
"If he knew something, he would have killed you already," remarked Alexei.
"He can't because I have the only dagger that can do it," I said.
"Are you immortal like him?" Alexei wondered.
"I'm just like him now," I replied with a wicked smile.
I have everything everyone wants, power like King Cassius, a royal crown, and yet somehow it's still not enough for me. There is still a void in me that probably nothing in the world can fill. Like there's something wrong with me.
"So now you have an advantage that you can use against him," he stated. "Don't you think that if he wanted to kill you, he wouldn't make you like him?"
"Cassius does many things that no one understands," I said.
"Don't let him pull you into that black hole again, Dragomira." he was worried about me. "You want to kill him way too much."
