"Damn it! Where the hell is my coffee? How many times should I remind you to bring me a cup of coffee in my office every morning?"
Agad akong napaayos ng upo nang marinig ang malakas na sigaw na nagmula sa loob ng opisina ni Miss Smith.
Shit, I think it's her who's been shouting. Bakit ba hindi ko napansin ang pagpasok niya sa opisina?
Agad akong kinabahan nang bumukas ang pintuan ng opisina. Iniluwa nito ang isang matangkad na lalaki.
"Uhm excuse me po-"
Hindi ako pinatapos ng lalaki.
"What the hell! Get out of my way. gusto ko pang mabuhay please!" singhal niya sakin
"Pero-"
Agad itong tumakbo papalayo sakin. Bumuntong hininga ako nang makitang walang katao-tao sa corridor.
"Parang kanina lang ang daming dumadaan dito ah" sambit ko
Muli akong napatingin sa pintuan ng opisina ni Miss Smith.
Damn it, I feel like I need to go inside but I am scared. Baka masabihan akong walang modo.
Pero wala rin akong nagawa, ilang minuto na akong nakaupo dito sa labas, mukha namang malamig na ang ulo ni Miss.
Dahan-dahan akong kumakatok sa pinto ng opisina niya. Kakatok pa sana ako ulit nang marahas na bumukas ang pintuan.
A lady appeared in front of me. She's pretty, that's the first thing I noticed. Not that tall, I think we're almost same height lang. She crossed her arms and leaned on the door.
"And who are you? New coffee maker? Did that guy already quit?"
"M-Miss"
Damn it, why did I even stutter? Well she's intimidating plus she's glaring at me as if I did something wrong to her.
"Get lost" she coldly said
After that muntik na akong mapagsarhan ng pintuan but fortunately I quickly stopped her by using both of my hands.
"Miss I am your new assistant"
A playful smile formed in her lips.
"New assistant huh? You're new and yet you are already late, it's your first day here. I'm sure they already told you that I am strict when it comes to time" she said
"I am already here since six thirty Miss Smith, I was waiting outside of your office but I did not notice you coming in-"
"So your attention's not on me?"
My jaw dropped when she said that.
Anak ng isda naman! Nang iinis ba tong babaeng to?
"Miss-"
"Quit making excuses, give me your resume" she said with an authoritative tone
Agad akong naguluhan, akala ko naman binigay na ng staff nila yung resume ko dito.
Miss Smith raised her eyebrow and rolled her eyes. I guess naiinip siya kasi wala akong maibigay sa kanya.
"So disappointing, late and unprepared. How did the HR department let you in?"
She really looks disappointed to me. She even looked at me from head to toe.
Judgemental to for sure, kita ko naman sa mukha niyang ayaw niya sakin.
Hello, ayaw ko rin sa kanya. Tsk, kung di lang maganda ang offer sakin eh.
Tyaka hindi naman talaga ako late, ayaw maniwala tss.
