"What are you doing here Nancy ?" I say being surprised after watching her face in the living room of my house
My heart started to beat faster

Several memories flashing in my head as I almost smiled
But the next memory made my blood boil

"Oh Taehyung,
Nancy will be living with us for a month
Till her parents are in Japan for business" Mom said
Having her living here is the last thing that I want and that also for a whole month

I kept my face expression less
But several emotions were going on inside me
My fingers clutched with all the memories flashing in front of my eyes
I thought that I had moved on

Nancy stood up and started to walk to me "Hi Tae" she said and was about to hug me
But I quickly took a step back,
Ignoring all the questioning eyes from mom, dad and Jennie

Calming myself,
I start to walk upstairs to my room

I used to love her
She was the one who cheated on me
Now why is she back ?
What the fuck does she need ?

"I think it's just work stress" mom said to Nancy after Taehyung climebed the stairs
Nancy only nodded by looking down

"Jennie you should go and check on him" Mom said and I nodded in response
Then walked towards the staircase

"I will come with you too" Jungkook said following me

After reaching outside the bedroom door
I spoke "you go and check on him, I don't want to"

"But why ?" he questioned

"Let's just say that we might have gotten in a fight last night" I said with a deep sigh
As Jungkook's expression turned into an understanding one

"I think it will be the best if we both do not disturb him and give him some time" Jungkook

"Give him some time, what for ?"

"Let's go to my room and sit and talk
I have something to tell you" he said, but my heart started raising as if I am about to hear something I really don't want to

I comfortably sit on Jungkook's bed as he sits beside me

"You see...
Taehyung was always this cold with everyone except one person" Jungkook started as I sat there listening quietly

"And that's one person was Nancy" something shifted in me after hearing this

"Our family has always been close with Nancy's
Since we were little
Taehyung and Nancy grew up to be best friends
Taehyung always cared for her and was very protective to her
While he was like ice to everyone else, he was like sugar to her" I wonder how sweet Taehyung would be

"Two years ago they started dating
I never really liked her and always felt that there was something off about her
I tried to warn Taehyung, but ofcourse he didn't listen to me
Taehyung loved her
He gave her everything he had and had put all his trust in her"

"Taehyung was this serious in their relationship that he wanted to marry her
But when ever Taehyung talked about telling their parents about their relationship, Nancy never let him
She kept on shifting this topic
Taehyung didn't mind it
He thought that Nancy just needs a bit more time
Everything was going perfectly
They were dating for an entire year
But..."

"But what ?" I say
Wiping the tears from my eyes,
Pretending like hearing the story about Taehyung's love doesn't hurt me at all

"Let's just say that she cheated on him
She was fucking cheating on him for more than six months and that's like half of the time they were in relationship"

"Taehyung broke up with her the moement he found out about this
Nancy protested for him to listen to her
But Taehyung hated her after the moement he saw her making out with another guy at the spot where Taehyung used to take her
Both of them had a massive fight
And a week later Nancy had moved to America"

"After that day Taehyung got even colder and stopped openly talking to anyone
He never trusted anyone
I barely saw Taehyung laugh
Mom and Dad often questioned what happened to him
But they still don't know about any of this" Jungkook finished with a sigh then looked up at me, only to see me crying

"Why are you crying" he said noticing the constant tears that were flowing out of my eyes

"He loves her" I said while sobbing as Jungkook rubbed my back to calm me down

"Jen, she is her past but you are his present and his future" he said wiping my tears

"He still loves her"

"No he doesn't
He hates her" he said as I shaked my head

"He loves her
I know it
Something in his expression when he saw Nancy in the living room told me that there is something and this story just confirmed it
He hasn't moved on and even if he has moved on
I am sure that he doesn't like me
And now that Nancy is back I am afraid that....."

"Hey stop right there
There is no reason for you to be worried
Nancy is just a bitch who ruined his life but you....you are different Jennie
He is different when he is around you
Yes it might seem like he doesn't like you or not care about you
But on the inside he genuinely cares about you and likes you" Jungkook said

"Do you really think so ?" I said looking at him as he nods

"Then you think wrong
Because last night he just told me that he doesn't care about me and is just bearing me because of his reputation"

"Do not think about what he said
He always says the opposite of what is actually going on inside him" he said wrapping his arm around me as I only nodded
