Serious Question For You

Hello Diddly Doodle!

I have two legit questions for you: would it be weird if I gave Harrison an older sister?

And would it be weird if I gave Sophia a younger brother?

This is my thinking, once I write something it feels like it's set in stone in my mind. It's sometimes hard to change it.

For me adding an older sister and a young brother into the world would seem weird because I've written years of Harrison and Sophia's lives and they've never had siblings. Then out of nowhere they'd have them. Isn't that strange?

I'd be rewriting history. Also it begs the question will the characters of Harrison and Sophia change from what we know because they have siblings?

Because growing up with siblings and without them definitely shapes a person's world. So then would there be things in past chapters I would have to rewrite because I made this change?

And would that be weird as a reader to feel like the world and characters have shifted from what you know.

See, I'm hesitate to do this because for me the characters are who they are right now and changing any part of their family structure would change that.

Does this make any sense or am I speaking (writing) out loud and I'm overthinking it all too much?

Let me know. It's not a certain thing that it will happen but I wanted to get your thoughts on it.
