My hands shook and my heart beat sped up. Did Jackson know about what my dad did to me? Was Katie in on it? So many questions ran through my head.

I started hyperventilating and tears sprang at my eyes. Jason immediately pulled the car over and wiped my tears.

"Ashley, what's wrong?" He asked worriedly.

All I did was point to my phone. He picked it up and looked at it.

"Oh cute! Katie and her boyfriend." I resisted the urge to roll my eyes and pointed to the man smiling in the background.

Jason's smile slowly faded until his mouth was in a thin line.

"Is that, your- you know..." He was to afraid to say the word dad. I nodded and leaned back in my seat.

"Why is he so close to my sister?" He asked.

Then it clicked, the night at the waterfall, when Jackson was on the phone.

"She's too ugly."

He was talking to my dad, my childhood best friend, who I thought I could trust, is trying to hurt me just as much as my dad.

Suddenly I started crying, not crying, sobbing.

The only sounds in the car were the sobs racking through my body.

"Ashley, I- please stop crying- I can't handle tears." Jason pleaded.

I sobbed even harder.

I gave you the key when the door wasn't open,
just admit it
See, I gave you faith,
turned your doubt into hoping,
can't deny it
Now I'm all alone and my joys turned to moping

My sobs turned to sniffles as I heard Jason sing a song I didn't know.

I looked up at him and stopped crying.

"Well now I know how to handle crying girls." He muttered.

"What crying girls are you dealing with other than me?" I asked, daring him to answer.

"Only you." He said sincerely.

He started driving again and headed towards the house.
