CHAPTER 31 "MATCHING VAMPIRES"

usually halloween was fun for melina but after everything that happened the day before she's debating on even showing up to the party at izzy's house. it was 8:30pm and she wasn't ready yet.
no. what the fuck? of course i'm going! i'm not going to let all of this shit ruin a good time with my friends. melina thinks as she gets up from her desk then turning to face her bed that had her "costume" laid across it. "melina vas a ir con tus amigos?" are you going out with your friends? melina's mom asks from outside her bedroom door. "si ya casi!" yes in a bit. melina replies plugging in her straightener on the outlet in the bathroom. once again melina's mom speaks up, "okay! tienes quidado, requerda decir le a mary lou que ella y su familia estan invitados a la cena para la sigiente semana." okay be careful, remember to tell marylou that she and her family are invited to dinner next week.
melina slaps her forehead completely forgetting about the dinner her parents planned around this time for thanksgiving every year, great another thing to add to her pile of stress. "fuck." she whispers to herself, then clumsily drops the heat protectant spray on the floor.
"meli?" her mom asks when she doesn't get a reply. melina scrambles around the ground before yelling out, "uhh si ay le digo!" yeah i'll tell her.
finally her mom walks away and melina starts to get ready.
after putting on her shoes melina's phone rings, it was izzy calling. "are you almost ready? i need your help with setting up the stupid photo booth thing!" izzy exclaims as her camera shakes from running around her house. melina laughs "yeah i'll be there in 10 minutes." they say their goodbyes and hang up.
melina walks up to her mirror checking out her outfit. she stands there for a second fixing her hair then backing away. hey i make a pretty hot vampire she thinks nodding her head confidently.
she grabs her jacket, small purse, and phone, then heads downstairs. "bye, mom!" she yells towards her mom, who's making food in the kitchen, passing by avi sitting on the couch watching tv.
"tell matt i said to bring you home safe!" her mom yells back, making melina groan loudly before slamming the door shut.
melina walks down the steps of her house, grinning when she sees noah's car approaching. "bitch, you look so fucking good!" nick yells from his spot in the passenger seat as the car comes to a stop. melina does a quick spin, showing off her outfit.
