~Adalyn's POV~

As we drive to his house I start thinking about everything.

What am I going to tell my brothers when they call me or text me or when they show up at my dad's house and I'm not there.

Lorenzo is very kind letting me stay at his house until I find a new place to stay.

I need to get a job as soon as possible so I can get an apartment and get out of his hair and not bother him anymore.

I'm startled out of my thoughts by someone calling me.

I hurry and grab my phone out of my bag to see it's Sam calling me.

I hesitate and look over at Lorenzo looking out the windshield with a straight face.

The first thing I hear when I answer the phone is Sams worried voice.

"Adalyn where are you!?" He said mad.

"I-i d-didn't f-feel w-well th-this m-morning s-so I-i s-stayed h-home." I said quietly.

He doesn't say anything for a few moments which causes my breathing to pick up slightly.

"Why are you stuttering so much?" He said with a monotone voice.

He never used this voice unless he was really mad....

"Y-you w-woke m-me u-up wh-when y-you c-called.... I-it s-startled m-me." I said nervously.

I hope he believes me but I'm really bad at lying.

"I don't believe you." He said then hung up.

I move the phone away from my face shocked that he did that.

"Is everything ok?" Lorenzo asks me.

I nod my head not trusting my voice.

"Words... I need words Adalyn." He said with a stern voice.

My heart skips a beat after hearing him say my name.

"Y-yes." I said shyly.

He nods his head and continues to drive.

After a few minutes we make it to his house.

He parks the car and opens the door for me while carrying my bags for me because he refused to let me help.

He tells me that he has a spare bedroom that I can use for a while.

We walk in and I'm flabbergasted.

It's ginormous.

There's a huge king sized bed with soft silk sheets that look like the sheets in the movies when they go to a fancy hotel.

There are two doors opposite the bed and a huge window with a small couch Infront of it.
