She wanted to better understand your emotions. So, do that, first she had to get to know you.
She didn’t even know what you were thinking about half the time, to be honest.

Aether got up and started to walk away.
“Wait!”
Furina chased after Aether while Paimon frantically looked between the slice of cake on her plate and the traveler.
‘Aether or cake? Aether or cake?? Aether or cake??? Aether or-’
“Ugh, Paimon can’t decide!!”

Eventually, you were able to crawl out of your room and out of the teapot.
Since you knew that making decisions was hard, you decided to ask for help.
Neuvillette was the one person you wanted to ask since you felt some sort of connection with him.

Neuvillette stopped admiring the scenery and smiled out you.
“I suspect that you want to ask me something?”
“Yes, I do.”

You were still cautious of him, but right now, you needed answers.
What were you like before you forgot your memories?

Neuvillette looked up at the sky and then closed his eyes.
“All I know is that we’re the same, but we have different abilities.”
“What do you mean?”
Neuvillette finally looked at you, and his gaze hardened.
“You’re draining our power, Y/n.”

You stared at Neuvillette with a poker face.
“I’m guessing that you knew that already?”
You looked at the ground and started to space out.
Yes, you have been taking power from others, but you weren't harming anyone.
You needed it.
“...Without it, I’ll-”
“Die?”
Neuvillette interrupted you, and all you could do was nod.
You figured out that your body absorbed vision wielders power.
For some reason, you gained power from Neuvillette and Aether even though they didn’t have a vision.
How odd.
To be honest, it was something you couldn’t help or prevent. Your body just absorbed it automatically.
There was nothing you could do about it.
“Do you genuinely enjoy being around Furina, or are you just using her for energy?”
“I’m not using her.”
