Synopsis

Heartbroken by T'Challa's sudden death, Shuri had to face the threat from Namor and the Talokanil who wanted to wage war on the surface world and protect their home. As Shuri was trying to save Riri Williams, Namor proposed her a military alliance but in the end, the Talokanil declared war on Wakanda and Namor killed Ramonda.

Devastated, Shuri was yearning for vengeance and manage to synthesize the Heart-Shaped Herb, taking on the mantle of the Black Panther. Shuri led the Wakandan army in the grand battle against Namor, during which she managed to defeat Namor but decided to spare his life.

As the war ended, Shuri decided to leave Wakanda without participating in the coronation tradition and stayed in Haiti, where Nakia introduced Shuri to her nephew, T'Challa II. While in Haiti, Shuri finds out that the Crown Princess of Haiti, Fabienne, is her older half-sister. Shuri tries to bond with her only living sibling, while in Wakanda, M'Baku called for a challenge for the throne of Wakanda.

The challenge for the throne has Shuri and Fabienne going to Wakanda with the proposal that Fabienne acts as Counsellor of State for Shuri as she travels the world.
