AM I THE ASSHOLE...
... for breaking into a girls apartment?
I (27 m) broke into the apartment of one of my friends (24 f) to delete a voicemail on her home phone. Mind you that I did all of this while slightly intoxicated.
When I say broke in, take that with a grain of salt. We have been friends for about four months now and have gotten to the point where she had trusted me with her spare key, since we live in the same building. She said that it was for emergencies, and i would count this case as an emergency. I may or may not have confessed my love for her on her answering machine, freaked out and went to delete it, just when she came home from a night out.
We got into a fight because I didn't want to explain myself. I did confess to wiping her answering machine, but said that it was because of a mean joke. Now she's ignoring me and not answering my calls. Be honest, am I the a-hole?
