When Jade opened her eyes she was laying in a hospital bed with a tube around her nose and a needle in her arm. She furrowed her thick brows as it all came back to her Tara being attacked, herself getting stabbed and chocked, Dewey going back to shoot him in the head. Wait, shit! Dewey! Eyes frantic she searched the room seeing her mother sitting in the chair beside her along with her little sister who had tear stained cheeks, Mark stood behind Blair's chair a comforting hand resting on her shoulder while Ryder leant against the window his eyes staring at his feet, sadness was painted all over his face. Her mother looked guilty - that was never a good sign

"M-mom" Jade spoke in a raspy voice Blair's head shot up as she rushed out of her seat and to her daughters side "Jade! Thank god" Jade tried talking again but her throat was all scratchy Blair told her to wait as she grabbed the cup of water from the table before holding it so Jade could drink it. After a few gulps Jade pulled away before looking at her mom hopefully "is Dewey?..."

Blair's eyes glasses over as she shook her head fighting back a sob, Mark put a hand on her shoulder looking at Jade with a a sorrowful expression "he didn't make it. I'm so sorry" Jades breath cut off as she stared at her parents, her ears were ringing and her eyes felt hot. She allowed her tears to fall as she closed her eyes her body shaking, Blair brought her eldest daughter into a hug comforting her "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Jade cried part of her felt responsible if she'd just finished the job and not got distracted Dewey would still be alive

"It's not your fault - it's not anyone's fault so don't blame yourself" Blair wiped her daughter's cheeks "is Tara okay?" Jade asked sniffling, Blair nodded "you saved her" Ruby spoke from behind her mother a thankful look was in her face - that was rare for ruby. She never thanked her sister for anything unless it was a present or a ride somewhere or money. Let's be honest all siblings argue and fight especially the three Kincaids but this time Ruby was genuinely thankful her sister was related to Billy Loomis...even if that made her sound like a psycho but Ruby knew her twin was thinking the same thing

Jade smiled at her sister who nodded back at her "where's she now?" Jade asked "next door, I think Sam's going to try and leave with her" Ryder spoke this time walking towards his sisters bed, Blair then sighed "Gale and Sidney are down stairs in the lobby they came up here to see you but you wasn't awake yet so did Sel and Nick but they've gone to get Hayley"

Jades eyes widened "Sidney's here? She shouldn't be here mom" Blair nodded her head along understanding where Jade was going with this, Ghostface and Sidney Prescott was never a good combination "I know. I know. But she heard about you and Dewey and came straight away" Jade threw her head back in the pillow groaning as she closed her eyes, Blair looked at the twins who nodded at her before she turned back to her daughter "we're going to go and check on Gale and Sid. Call either of us if you need anything" Jade nodded watching as her mother and father leave the room
