"WHAT. ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS??"
"I wish I wasn't right now."
"Do you know if John's still alive? Maybe you could visit the hospital? I could come with you if you want"
"It's fine, I'll just go alone, thanks for offering though."
"Okay, bye"
"Bye"
After that, Charlie hung up the phone.
Hours Later
Charlie had decided to go to the hospital with Jessica.
Charlie had asked one of the nurses which room John was in but they said that only relatives or next of kin could visit right now. Charlie told them that she was his girlfriend and was now she was in John's hospital room. Yeah, she wasn't actually his girlfriend and John probably didn't like her like that, but she had already done it. The only 2 people in the hospital room were Charlie and John.
The room was dead silent except for the heart monitor and John and Charlie's breathing.
The heart monitor beeping was slightly comforting, well, as comforting as it could be given the situation.
Charlie felt a tear roll down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away. She took John's hand in hers. I felt slightly cold, but not like dead body cold. Maybe it was just the hospital being freezing. The heart monitor was still beeping, so it wasn't like John was dead.
This was all my fault. If I had still remained dead John would be here right now. Charlie kept blaming herself for John getting stabbed. She knew John wouldn't like her blaming herself, but it was her fault that he was here. Or at least she thought so.
"John, I know that you can't hear me right now, but I am so sorry. It was my fault, it really was. If you can hear me John, I love you."
Just as the last 3 words came out of her mouth, the heart monitor flat lined.
