        ~Andie POV

It was night when everything started.

She was down by the lake, watching the moon rise by the second and listening to the sounds of the water in front of her. There was always something about the water that made her calm, and it always piqued her interest. She couldn't help but always remember that NASA had stopped exploring the ocean to go explore space. What was down there that scared them enough to change topics immediately? She didn't know but she enjoyed the mystery.

Mysteries kept things interesting, especially with her ADHD-filled head, it made normally pretty boring things, not so boring. And she enjoyed that.

She enjoyed many things, watching the night sky as she was doing now was one of those things. She didn't know why she liked it so much, being the daughter of the god of light and all, but there was something just so peaceful about the moon. Everything around it was just so quiet, it was nice. She probably could've written a poem about it.

That thought made her breathe out a laugh.

Annabeth always told Andie to do that, there was something just so amusing to her about Andie being the daughter of a god who created poetry. It's not like all poems sucked, somewhere actually very beautiful but Annabeth only cared about the cold hard truth of the present, not anything underneath it that could be anything more.

Annabeth Chase had been Andie's best friend since the two arrived at Camp five years ago. Luke and Andie ran away from home, then came across Thalia Grace, another kid on the run who turned out to be a forbidden kid of the Big Three, and then they found Annabeth. Annabeth and Andie were the same age, so they got along the best, but it was still hard being out in the wild with monsters chasing you. Soon they made it to Camp Half-Blood, but Thalia died in the process, Andie still wasn't over the death of her friend, but she made the best of Camp Half-Blood.

Andie had been claimed during the first game of capture the flag. Andie was still young, only about 9 at the time but Chiron had finally let her, and Annabeth join capture the flag since they had been training for two years. Andie got circled by a bunch of the enemy and one tried to strike her, so out of instinct she had ducked down and used her shield to protect her but in turn, a large dome of light appeared around her making the enemy scream. When Andie looked around, she saw the dome of light and how no one could look directly in her direction and when she stood up fully, the dome disappeared and a glowing sun symbol with two bows and arrows on either side of it appeared above her.

Then, when Chiron announced at dinner that night that Andie was the daughter of Apollo, everything felt more real. Everyone bowed to her, and Andie couldn't help but smile.

Soon after, Luke was claimed by Hermes which was a very awkward thing to learn but the two kids didn't mind, they were still brother and sister no matter what.

Now back to Annabeth Chase. After the blinding-campers incident, Annabeth had gone to find Andie and when she ultimately found her by the lake, the two started to talk and they got even closer than they had been for those two years prior. It was nice knowing there was someone at camp she could trust with her whole heart. In a world of such evil, it was hard to do that.

Andie continued to watch the water; everything was normal until she noticed something glowing within the water. Andie knit her eyebrows together and quickly stood up, walking closer to the water as the glowing got brighter. Andie was right at the water's edge, feeling the cold water touching her toes when a whisper began to speak.

At first, Andie couldn't hear what the whisper was saying, and without knowing Andie continued to walk into the water. The water was almost up to her pajama shorts when the whispering was finally loud enough for her to hear.

"He is coming. He is coming. He is coming."

Andie tilted her head in confusion, looking around to see if there was anything out of the ordinary but there wasn't.

"Who is coming?" Andie stupidly asked.

"He is coming. He is coming. He is-

A door shutting broke Andie out of it as she whipped her head and quickly ran out of the water. She grabbed the book that she had left on the beach and ran up the hill, looking back towards the water as the glowing continued.

Andie was going to go back to cabin 7 when she heard a boy's voice calling for his mother. She turned, seeing two people staggering down Half-Blood Hill, looking dirty and tired. Andie hurried over to the boys, coming to realize that one of them was her satyr friend Grover who seemed to be unconscious while the tattered boy carried him.

"Hey!" Andie called as she quickly approached the boy who carried Grover. "Hey, hey, slow down, dude."

"Mom?" The boy muttered, his sea green eyes raking over Andie with hope but that was soon crushed.

"No, no, I'm sorry but no," Andie spoke, trying to calm him down as he continued to sob harder and harder. His body shook and he soon dropped Grover onto the ground and fell forward. Andie didn't anticipate it so the boy fell right into her, causing the two of them to fall onto the porch of the Big House.

The boy was sweaty and heavy, and Andie struggled underneath the weight of him, but she soon heard footsteps and when she looked up, she saw Chiron and Annabeth above her.

"Uh, a little help here," Andie spoke, as she continued to try and push the boy up and off of her, but he just kept slipping back onto her chest.

"He's the one. He must be." Annabeth spoke instead of helping her.

"Silence, Annabeth," Chiron said. "He's still conscious. Bring him inside."

Finally, Annabeth helped Andie get the boy up and together the two girls brought him into the infirmary and laid him into the bed. Chiron, Annabeth, and Andie all talked about Andie seeing the boy carry Grover into the valley and soon Chiron told the two to go back to their cabins, him himself leaving too.

"Come on, Andie. We should get some sleep; I have a feeling that things are about to get interesting with this one." Annabeth spoke at the door.

"I'll be out in a minute; I just want to wash my hands first." Andie lied and Annabeth nodded, headed out the door, and letting it shut behind her.

Andie turned back towards the boy, watching as his chest rose and fell slowly. His hair was messy and splayed out onto his forehead because of sweat, he had tan skin and it seemed as though he had a permanent smirk on his face because of his smile lines. Andie watched him for one more second and was about to turn away when his eyes fluttered open, Andie's golden ones staring back.

"Hi." He croaked. Andie didn't answer, just raked over his frame once more before turning and leaving. Soon after, the boy fell back into sleep.
