I sighed for the umpteenth time looking at the huge gate in front of me before placing my head on the steering wheel

Ive been in front of this house for almost 15 minutes now but i didnt get the courage to go in

With a final sigh, i horned and it was opened almost immediately

The compound was still as spacious as it was, with green flowers surrounding it

I followed the backdoor that'll lead me to the main living room, not abba's

"Asslamualaikum."

I heard a small voice answer me before a head peeped out

I immediately teared up

Ashraf, ya khadija's son

Literally the carbon copy of sa'ad

Before i could talk to him a bigger figure threw itself on me

"Hajara, bakisan you're heavy ba koh?"

"Kai arwa. Banason sharri."

I met ya khajida downstairs and we spoke for a while before she led me upstairs to umma

"Ai har na yi fishi dake, nace arwa ta dena so na tunda sa'ad isnt around."

I laughed before hugging her back "ba haka bane umma. Ive been wanting to come wallahi kawai..."

"Haba i understand mana, i was joking."

"Ina wuni umma."

"Ina gajiya arwa. Before you sit, muje wurin abba, he was waiting for you before he goes out."

Waiting for me kuma?

Im very scared of abba

He has this aura around him that makes you want to pee in your pants

Umma salamed as i walked behind her. He answered looking up from the magazine he was holding

"Allah yayi arwan tazo kenan."

Abba joked, wow wow

I was now starting to feel bad for not coming

I sat down near umma's leg opposite him before i greeted him

"Lafiya lau. Ya su baban ki?"

"Hes fine Alhamdulillah."

"We were with him on Friday ai, a central mosque."

"Oh Allah sarki." I was very nervous as i kept playing with my fingers

" su hajara suka ce when you come starving dinki zasuyi."

We all laughed at that, making me feel more calm, well before umma decided to walk out when he looked at her

Is that some kind of communication?

"Saad its been already a year, harda dori."

"Time goes so fast. Ya qarin hakuri?"

"Hakuri da godiya. Its a test, Allah knows the reason he took his servant, sedai muyita addua kuma."

I whispered an 'In shaa Allah' before he removed his glasses and placed them beside him

"Saad knew he was leaving us. Some weeks to his death, i told him i was going to meet your dad to set the wedding date. I initially wanted it to be together with na mamana. But he told me to wait for a bit. When i pressurized him, we had a conversation. But before that, waye Aliyu adnan?"
