Part 6 - In the Darkness

Sanskar, having decided to extend his stay in Kolkata until Sujatha's recovery, rented a flat in

the city. Despite his regular visits to the hospital during her week-long stay, Sanskar hesitated to

enter the Maheshwari house after she was discharged. His amiable interactions with everyone

except RP, DP, and Laksh kept him at arm's length.

He chose to focus on some projects in the city, tasks that were initially managed by his partner.

Staying busy helped him steer clear of the complexities within the Maheshwari family.

Rudra, had been nagging Ragini for many things since the last few days and suggested that she

move out for her well-being. Ragini, however, declined, considering Dadi and Dadaji's

well-being, who were left alone and unwell after the recent upheaval.

Rudra had been wanting her to try few new things, music was her passion but not a career

choice and he wanted her to have a professional career, a career which she enjoyed and could

grow

He suggested her to start, by joining his business understand know hows but ragini had been

hesitant, the lack of confidence in her own ability and comparison she initially faced with swara

"You can't let the past dictate your future" Rudra said

Though hesitant initially, Ragini was later intrigued when Rudra discussed his recent business

dealings and agreed to join him for one of the project

Sanskar, attending a meeting with his business partner Rudra at Phoenix Hotel, found himself in

an unexpected situation. As they discussed projects and strategies, the meeting room door

opened, revealing a surprising figure – Ragini.

Surprise would be small word to describe the way they felt seeing each other

"Ragini meet Sanskar Kamra my business partner and sanskar meet ragini my cousin who is helping us with the current project"

They did a small handshake and took their seats

The presentation continued

After few minutes when they were discussing about the new elements which they could include

Ragini spoke "what if we add vertical gardens to the building design? It'll be eco-friendly, and

people can grow their own veggies or plants of their desire"

Sanskar looked at her amused

"And then we'll have a bunch of amateur farmers yelling at their plants, "Grow faster! We need

salad tonight!" Rudra playfully added to which ragini smacked him and sanskar chuckled

"I think you are underestimating the power of positive reinforcement" ragini spoke

"Oh, I've seen enough Bollywood movies to know that talking to plants is a thing. Maybe we'll

organize a "Plant Talk" seminar in our lobby" sanskar playfully spoke to which ragini got irritated

but then innocently added

"That's a brilliant idea! We can invite plant psychologists!"

Sanskar amused sarcastically replied "Yes, because plants need therapy. "Tell me, Mr. Fern,
