Chapter Nine

Maiya's POV

I finished the fag, but I really didn't feel right, everything was blurry and people sounded like they were in the next room, wow I was high.

"What was in that?" I asked

"Weed" Cam said casually

"You're not high are you" He laughed

"No..." I said very over dramatically

"Light weight" He laughed

"I'm not" I protested struggling to stand up.

Cam and his mates just laughed

"Maiya!" James shouted from the entrance of the school with some other boys, I think some were called Aaron, Tyla and Andrew.

It was time to go home, so I tried to walk over to James

"What's wrong, your brothers will kill me if your hurt" he said worriedly

"Woah, woah woah, Jamesyyyyy, you need to lighteen up" I slurred, I didn't even know what I was saying.

"Is she high?" The boy called Andrew, I think

"She better not be" James said

"Oi, do not talk about me like I'm not here" I said pointing at James

"Come on, you need to go home" James said, dragging me by the arm.

Luke's POV

"I was sitting there" Jai moaned

"Yes, was" I said back

"Move"

"Make me"

"Fine"

Jai tried to pull me off the sofa, but it didn't work.

The front door suddenly opened and James came in, holding up Maiya

Jai and I got up and walked towards them to see what was going on

Maiya's eyes were all glassy and she was struggling to stand up

"Woah" She said pointing at us

"What?" Jai asked

"You look the same!" She said, then started hysterically laughing

Beau and Skip came out of Beau's room to see what was going on, as soon as Beau saw Maiya he looked really angry.

"Is she drunk?" He asked

"No, she's high" James said

"What! How did this happen!" Beau shouted

"Don't blame me, I found her like this" James said

"Who was she with" Beau shouted, snatching Maiya away from James, and holding her up by her the collar of her shirt.

"Cameron and Ryan" James said

"What!" Beau shouted even louder

Maiya was starting to look really scared of Beau, and his grip on her was just getting tighter

"Beau put her down you're hurting her" I said

Beau looked down and saw what he was doing, he loosened his grip straight away.

He dragged her into her room and shut the door behind him, we could hear him shouting at her, telling her to stay away from Cameron and especially Ryan, they were bad news.

Jai, James, Skip and I were all sat in the living room, when Beau called Skip, Skip had more experience of drugs than us, so she might listen to him.

When Beau was finished, he and Skip came into the living room and sat down with us.

"James, I want you to watch her at school, don't let her out of your sight" Beau said, he was being serious which he hardly ever was, so James nodded in agreement.

"I'm not having her mix with Ryan and his mates, he'll ruin her life" Beau said.

Okay, sorry it's short and took so long, I didn't really know what to write for this chapter

And yes, I know you can't really get high off weed, but just pretend, the're not really going to bring crack to school
