Alex was ready, he stepped out on to the stage, in front of Congress. First the Vice President took her oath, then it would be Alex's turn. The Prayer went on.
The poem was read by Alissa Hortwell, it read:
"Let us grasp at the freedom that we can reach,
To give us the rights that we seek,
And empower the meek"
The Chief Justice walked up to the podium and brought out a bible, Alex put his left hand on the Bible and the Chief Justice Began:
"Do you, Alex Edward Garner Solemnly swear that you will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States?"
"I, Alex Edward Garner solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States"
"And will to the best of your ability, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States?"
"And will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States"
"So help you god?"
"So help me god"
The chief justice replies "Congratulations Mr. President"
