Knock knock knock!
"Hello~?"
I spoke as I carefully knocked on the door leading to the nurse's office. I searched the room to see Miss Doriyaku turn her head to see me and smile.
"Oh, Sophie, what a pleasant surprise! Come in!" she cheered as she waved for me to enter the room. So, I slowly entered the office and bowed to her to show my respect as I watched her pull up a chair.
"What seems to be the problem today?" she asked.
"Ah– Oh no, I'm not hurt or anything."
"Oh, I see, then you wouldn't mind if I have lunch, would you?"
"Eh? No, no! Y-You can go have lunch! I-I just thought–"
Ding!
"Huh?"
"Ah! Right on time." she jumped as I watched her use her sliding chair to slide across the room and over to the microwave.
I wasn't sure what she microwaved, but once I saw her open the door to reveal a plastic bowl and the wrapping on it to be instant Ramen, I started salivating.
"Eh?"
"Oh, you probably thought I was leaving to go to the cafeteria to have my lunch, yes?" she asked as she turned to me.
"Ah– I-I didn't know there was a microwave in here."
"There wasn't."
"Huh?"
"At least not until I got here. I bought this microwave myself, and since I'm always busy with things here, I just have lunch here." she explained, and for some reason, that only reminded me of my mom back when I was little and she would work at home.
My mom would always try to make quick and instant meals for herself when she seemed busy working, so seeing it with Miss Doriyaku wasn't something new to me.
"A-Ah~ T-That would make sense, b-but what're you working on?"
"Oh, I study."
"S-Study? Study what?"
"Well~ have a look." she suggested as she nudged her head over to her desk.
I furrowed my brows when I looked at her, but she seemed certain about what she meant, so I slowly rolled my chair over to her desk and thought I was seeing things. Lying on her desk were nothing but files of U.A. students, and not just some U.A. students, it was–
"I figured that since I'm new to this school, I should try and familiarize myself with each and every student that goes here, even if they never have to set foot in this room." she explained as this led me to read some of those files.
Not only did it say who the student was, but it also had their quirk, their body details like age, height, weight, blood type and birth date. Not just that, but it gave even more details when it came to the quirk and stats like strengths, weaknesses, abilities and so on.
"Woah~ This is so detailed, it reminds me of how my mom would study." I pointed out.
"Really? Does your mother study a lot?"
"Ah– S-She did since she was a doctor." I answered as I slowly pushed myself away from the desk.
"I see. And uh– Any reason why you're not with your friends during your lunch break and here instead?" I flinched when she asked that question, because I didn't really think of a good reason or excuse to say.
"U-Uh– W-Well, you see, I uh–"
Growl~
Aw man, not again!
