After what I witnessed this morning between my mom and dad, I was sure that things were gonna be awkward after that. But what I didn't expect when we were all about to head to my school, my dad decided to change directions.
"Huh? Where're you going, dad?" I asked, noticing how my dad wasn't following us.
"Uh– I gotta go take care of some stuff first." he answered as he was scratching the back of his head and acting like what he was gonna do was a lie.
He seemed pretty shady about his answer, but who am I to get into his business like usual?
"Be careful, Mr. Dynamite." mom stated, as I noticed she didn't seem all nervous or flustered after what she experienced with my dad this morning. And because she acted this way, I looked to see my dad blushing red like usual and then avoiding her eyes.
"U-Uh– Y-Yeah..."
"Alright, then see yah, dad! Let's go, Miss Doriyaku!"
"Mn. I'm following you." she added as I took the lead for me and her to get to the school. Something tells me my dad might be surprising my mom later today, but I don't know how.
( Going back to Third Person POV! )
As he watched his daughter walk off with the greenette, Katsuki could only think back to the expression he saw on the greenette's face that very morning after he thought what he was doing was just a dream. He felt embarrassed by the fact that his own daughter witnessed this and yelled at him to stop. He couldn't believe he let his impulse control his mind and let him do something towards someone he hasn't done that to in 10 years.
But to know that he's been having these feelings and these emotions towards someone again was somewhat refreshing and... exhilarating. So instead of feeling ashamed about this, he thought that there has to be a way to make up for his actions this morning.
He also still needed to figure out if the kiss he had with the greenette the night before was all a fluke or not.
'I gotta make it up to her... but how? Mmmh~ Wait–'
"Me and your daughter have lunch together everyday."
'That's right, they do have lunch just about everyday. And last time I was with them... she did say she wanted to try my cooking... I got it.' Katsuki thought and so he rushed to the market and got everything he needed and headed back home, until he remembered what happened the day before.
As he stood just feet away from the front door of his house, Katsuki felt nervous and afraid to enter the house. He wasn't feeling this way just because he was hoping not to see his ex inside, he was feeling this way mainly because he was hoping that his house went back to normal.
He didn't want to see all the furniture changes, he didn't want to enter his house and not smell Lavender, he wanted everything to be the same as it was before.
"Hah~ I really gotta do this, don't I?" he asked himself before sighing once more and then approaching the door.
He set a couple bags down to grab his keys from his pocket and then unlocked the door and slowly pushed the door open. He peeked his head inside to hear how quiet it was.
'Please don't be here.' he thought as he shoved his keys back in his pocket and grabbed the bags off the ground to enter his house.
He carefully closed the door behind him with his foot and then tried to take his shoes off without using his hands and slid his feet into his house shoes. He practically tiptoed through the entryway in hopes that if there was someone home, they wouldn't hear him.
