The Echanted One

Chapter Seventeen.....

In the morning Amethyst had woken up feeling a little annoyed over last night's dinner event and the fact that Pandora found it highly amusing.

But Amethyst on the other hand did not find it one bit amusing at all, she actually found it extremely awkward.

As she climbed out of the comfort of her bed, she heard both Pandora and Briony say,
"Well that was a rather interesting night wouldn't you say?"

Not impressed with what she was hearing, Amethyst starred at both Pandora and Briony and says," You've got to be kidding me.... that was the most awkward situation I've ever been in. And was it my imagination, or did it come across to any of you guys that my Aunt was trying to play match maker?"

Both Pandora and Briony looked at each other, and it was Pandora who said," Nooo certainly not! What on earth makes you think that?"

Amethyst walks over to stand near the window and stares out of it for a second, than turns around to face Pandora and says,
"The seating arrangements for one.
I mean come on seriously, what was with that? She could have quite easily sat the pair of you side by side and placed Tryne and Katio on the opposite side of the table, but no she decided to split us up in pairs."

Pandora tells her that's the most outrageous thing she's ever heard.

"Is it? Like come on now, surely you guys would have noticed it, even heard the little comments, as you were both sitting at the same fucken table were you not?"

Both Pandora and Briony glanced at each other, shook there heads and couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh terrific, a pair of fucken Larkins!"

Both Pandora and Briony looked straight at Amethyst, and it was Pandora who told her she was being ridiculous and that she's trying to make a mountain out of an ants nest.

"Off course you of all people would see it that way, however in all honesty I do not see it that way at all. My Aunt definitely was trying her hardest to play match maker - that I'm one hundred percent convinced off."

Pandora just shook her head at her, as she slowly started to make her way downstairs with both Briony and Amethyst following right behind her.

As they all walked into the kitchen, they were greeted by Amethyst Aunt.

"Good morning girls, I hope your hungry, as I have just finished making up a big batch of pancakes and some freshly squeezed orange juice."

Briony took one look at the table all set out nicely with the pancakes on a large plate smack bang in the centre of the table with a bowl of whipped cream, jam and blueberries.

Without any hesitation, Briony pulled out a chair and plonked herself down and said,
" Don't mind if I do,as I'm starving and this looks sooo delicious!"

"Briony!"

"What? I'm hungry, your hungry, Amethyst is well... hungry and you can't deny the fact that it smells and looks delicious, not to mention the fact my tummy is growling. So what's the problem..... let's eat!"

On hearing this Indigo couldn't help but laugh to herself as she went about her morning routine.

So the girls sat down and ate there breakfast, while planning out the rest of their day.

Briony suggested they go grab a few things down at Trekkers Square than go see if Echo and Reverie would like to go with them down to the Sleeping Lake for a picnic lunch.

Not long after they had finished having breakfast, Amethyst went grabbed the picnic basket and her backpack and went joined Pandora and Briony.

Once at Trekkers Square, Amethyst and Pandora went about grabbing some sandwiches, drinks and some snacks to nibble on later.

After paying for everything, they made there way over to Echo and Reverie's place and asked if they'd like to come along for a picnic lunch at the Sleeping Lake.

Five minutes later and all 5 girl's made there way to the Sleeping Water Lake, chatting and laughing away about everything and anything.

Once they got there, Amethyst opened up her backpack, pulled out the picnic blanket and laid it out underneath one of the sleeping buck-eye tree's.

As soon as the picnic blanket was laid out on the ground, Pandora opened up the picnic basket and went about setting out the sandwiches, nibble food and drinks.

Plonking herself down, she called out to Briony, Echo and Reverie to come join them.

As Echo sat down,she took a look around and says," You know I really love coming out here this time of the year, as this place just seems to come alive. It's truly breathtaking when the first day of Spring arrives and all those pretty flowers start coming into full bloom.  Even when Summertime gets here, it's still beautiful out here."

"Yes I have to totally agree with you on that one Echo, but it also serves it's purpose during the fall when the lake freeze over.
Just about everyone's out here ice-skating." Reverie told her sister as she grabbed the drinks and started handing them around.

Cracking open her drink, Amethyst takes a gulp, than picked up a ham, cheese and tomato sandwich and started eating it as she listened to Echo and Reverie talking away about some upcoming event that's taking place down at the Modern Butterfly Tavern.

On hearing this Pandora says," Oh really.... that sounds like something we should check out Amethyst. All 4 of us,3 single ladies, one taken, and sorry Bron but your underage.
Who knows what we'll get up too... One of us might even end up meeting someone.
What do  you say - are you in?"

"Oh it sucks being 17!" Briony told her sister.

Pandora still waiting for an answer from Amethyst, asks her again if she was in or out, and Amethyst just smiled and said that they will have to wait and see.
