School

Alice was in her room when Bucky walked in "Alice, can we talk for a minute?" he sat in the chair beside her bed "Yea" she put her book down and looked at him "Are you ok? You've been pretty, not you, recently" he looked at with a sympathetic look "I'm fine" she put on a fake smile "No you're not" he sighed softly "I just miss Peter" she sounded like she was about to cry "Oh" he sat beside her pulling her into his arms "I just see his death every day dad, everytime I walk down that street" she started crying softly "Oh, little one" he sighed and stroked her hair

DAY OF THE MURDER

"Do you wanna go on a walk?" Peter popped his head into Alice's room "Yea, sure" Alice smiled, putting what she was working on down then putting on her shoes and jacket on

As they were walking down the street Alice was looking through the windows while holding Peter's hand so she didn't get lost in the crowd of people "Alice?" he looked at her as she stopped to look at something in the window "Yea?" She looked back at him, "Do you want to get ice cream?" he walked closer to her "Of course I do" she smiled and started walking to an ice cream store

"Did you sleep well last night?" Alice asked him, taking a lick of her ice cream "Yea" he smiled as she handed him his ice cream "That's good" she smiled while still walking "Did you?" he looked at her "Mhm" she looked back at him "Good" he smiled then took a lick of his ice cream

As they kept walking Alice heard a gunshot then looked at Peter who fell to the ground and fell beside him "Peter?" her voice got shaky "Alice, don't stay here" he coughed "No- I- I can help you" she looked at him while tearing up "Alice, the ambulance wouldn't even get here on time, go" he placed a hand on hers, holding it "Please, go"

PRESENT DAY

Alice was sitting in her room with Freddie, zoned out, as he was watching Doctor Who on her tv "I love Doctor Who" he looked at her with a soft smile "What?" Alice looked at him, not hearing what he said "Are you ok?" He paused the TV noticing her dazed expression "Yea, of course I am" she smiled lightly, her eyes obviously showing sadness

"Ali?" he raised an eyebrow "I was just thinking about the day Peter died, don't worry about me, now, what were you saying?" she wiped the tears that were welling up in her eyes "Alice, I'm not going to let you tear up and play it off as if it's nothing" his voice was laced with concern "I'm fine, I promise" she lied through her teeth as tears leaked from her eyes "Alice" his voice was quiet as he went and hugged as she started crying into his shoulder

Later Alice was eating dinner as Natasha walked through the door "Hey doll" Bucky looked at her "Hey" Nat smiled and sat down "Hi Mama" Alice swallowed her food then went back to eating as Nat and Bucky talked

Alice was at her locker searching for her books when Freddie walked up to her "No falling asleep" he smiled softly "I won't fall asleep" she looked at him "Good" he gently nudged her when Jason walked up behind Alice and placed a hand on her shoulder "Got a boyfriend Alice?" he asked teasingly as she sighed softly "I'm 3 years older than her Jason, and besides, I'm not even attracted to her anyway" Freddie took his hand off of Alice's shoulder

"Oh, well there's nothing wrong with that, is there Alice?" Jason took his hand to play with her hair "Go away Jason" Alice spoke calmly and pulled her head away and moved a little closer to Freddie "Aww, are you gonna have Freddie fight your battles" he teased

She groaned softly then punched Jason square in the nose "Oh you little bitch" he groaned then went to grab her neck before Alice ran down the hallway as Freddie followed after her "Did you have to punch him?!" he questioned her "If I didn't he would have done something way worse than giving me a bruise!" she shouted softly before she ran into the guidance office

"Oh, hello Alice, is everything ok?" Ms. Thomasson looked up from her papers "Jason Rowel-" Alice couldn't even finish before he had ran in and grabbed Alice by the hair and pinned her to the wall "Punch me again see what happens" he spat at her "Mr. Rowel!" Ms. Thomasson shouted

"So, Mr. Barnes, Alice won't face any charges from the police since she punched Jason in self defense" She had said while writing something down "And suspension?" Bucky asked "Since it's the last day of school she won't get any suspension" She looked up at him
"I swear I'm about to move this girl to a different school if this staff keeps being stupid" He mumbled in russian "So she'd get a suspension if it wasn't the last day of school?"

"I never said that" She sighed softly "Well that's what it sounded like" he spoke softly "Just- Have a good day sir" She took a deep breath "I will" he got up and walked out of her office "Well?" Alice stood up "You're not getting any charges or suspensions, and you're moving schools" he smiled softly "Cool, I hate this place anyway" she followed him out to the car"I hate the staff at this place" he got in the car and buckled in

"You don't like anyone dad" she sat in her seat and buckled in "That's not true" he chuckled as he started driving off "Name 3 people you like beside me, Steve, and Mama" she looked at him "Ok, Freddie, Bruce, Wanda, uhm" he thought "See, you can't even name 4 people" she laughed softly "Ok but in my defense people are annoying" he looked at her then back at the road

"I could always drop out, I mean, I'm the smartest in my grade" Alice had said while eating a sandwich "You have 2 years left, I'm sure you can make" Nat said kissing the top of her head as she walked past "Ok, but like, I think I'd manage" she smiled softly "Pass one of Freddies tests and then we'll see" Bucky looked at her with a smile "Ok"
