Alice was sitting on her bed painting her nails when Freddie ran in, "Ok, so, now hear me out-" he shut the door behind him "What's going through that head of yours?" she smiled softly and looked up from her nails "We should make a pie, have a nice dinner, it'd be nice" he smiled back at her "Ooh, could we make a uhm...blueberry pie?" she sat straight up, a hopeful glint in her eyes "Of course we can, now, we could go out to eat or you could make burgers and fries, the really fancy way you make them, you know? With the nice french buns that you toast and butter then stick the toothpick in-" he started talking quickly "I'll make the burgers" she smiled

After dinner Alice and Freddie were in the kitchen making the pie, they had Queen playing on the speakers in the background as they talked, Alice would talk about things that she read or thought about while Freddie just listened, nodding and commenting, and each time he would say something she would listen with so much admiration and an attentive look in her eyes

Alice looked towards the door as she heard a knock at the door "I'll get it" she sighed then went and answered the door "Ok" He said as he set a timer for the pie

"Hello hun" A woman spoke "How did you-" Alice spoke as her eyes widened "Oh, hush sweetie, I won't bite" the woman spoke "Who is it?" Freddie followed after her "My birth mother" her voice shook "Who-" he started "Evelyn Pavlova, nice to meet you" Evelyn smirked

"Eveyln I think you should leave" Alice spoke up "Oh, now is that a way to speak to your mother? I raised you better than-" she started "No! You didn't raise me, at all, now leave!" her voice got a bit louder with each word "Oh hunny I know you're upset-" she pouted mockingly

Alice groaned then pulled a gun out from behind a shelf then pointed it to her head "Alice?" Freddie spoke with a concerned tone "I don't care why you're here, but I want you gone" Alice spoke calmly "Fine, but I wanted to do something first" Evelyn sighed "And what is that?" She glared at her

"Just, follow me" Evelyn walked to the center of the field "What?" She raised an eyebrow "Alice maybe we shouldn't-" Freddie warned but Alice walked after her anyways

"So, Alice-"

"Evelyn, get this over with" Alice groaned, her patience shortening

"Oh, it will be quick, I just want to see how good of a soldier HYDRA made you" she chuckled softly

As Evelyn spoke those words Alice gave her a cold, soul piercing glare "What? You want me to fight you? Because let's be honest, you wouldn't want to ruin your porcelain soldier?" her tone was teasing as she spoke

"You're, but, that's HYDRA who wouldn't want to do that,I couldn't care less about you" She mocked back

"So that's why you sold me? That's just pathetic, how much money did you get?" She scoffed

"She sold you?!" Freddie slipped into a scottish accent "Yea- Where- Oh I don't have time to ask about the accent" Alice waved it off

"So, Alice, fight me if you're such a great soldier" Evelyn chuckled

"Freddie, go get the pie out of the oven before it burns please" Alice looked at him as he nodded then walked back to the house

As Freddie walked back into the house Alice lost her footing, almost falling to the ground as Evelyn pushed a blast of magic her way, she stood up, holding onto her ribs in pain

"Already hurt?" She mocked

"No, just teasing" Alice sighed then hit her with a ball of her magic, aiming it to her face, Eveyln tried to block it but failed right as it hit her "Look who's hurt now"

"You're getting over confident" she chuckled throwing another blast, Alice blocked it then directed back to her

"We just started!" Her voice showed confusion as she shouted softly, catching another one of the energy blasts

"Well" Evelyn catched a blast Alice had thrown and directed it back to her

Alice tried to block it but just missed it as it hit her in the chest, she fell when she got it as Evelyn walked over to her "See the thing about your powers, since you had some more of what you should have gotten put into your blood, it can hurt way more than you hitting me with mine because you have too much power" She explained

"Which means what exactly?" Alice looked at her, pain evident in her eyes then saw Freddie walking out of the house quickly "You're gonna die if your immune system doesn't fight back, you were lucky to survive the magic being put into your blood system, but the blast hit your heart so, good luck" She teased, starting to walk off
"One more thing Eveyln" She slowly stood up

"What is that?" She turned to look at her

"You were getting over confident" Her eyes glinted with a cold, hard stare

"What does that mean?" Her brows furrowed

Alice saw Freddie walking up behind Evelyn a gun being pushed into her head "You hurt my sister and thought you would get away with it, that's what that means" Freddies accent was thick

"Are you gonna shoot me? Cause you don't look like the type of guy to kill someone" She teased
"I also look like the type of guy who wouldn't be able to lift furniture" He scoffed

"You wouldn't shoot me" She mocked

"I will, and nothing will stop me, not a single person, not a single object, not a single evil witch bitch like you who sells their children cause they don't want to take care of them like a normal mother should!" As he kept speaking each word gained more and more of an accent

"Do it the-" Just as she started speaking Freddie pulled the trigger and watched as Evelyn's body fell to the ground

Freddie ran over to Alice and dropped beside her, seeing her passed out on the ground, her breathing a little slow and her heartbeat slower than normal "Alice" his accent losing the Scottishness "Alice wake up!" he shouted gently

Freddie had managed to get Alice laid on the couch, sitting on the chair beside her, watching her closely, worry evident in his eyes, he promised her she'd be ok, what happens when she dies? He wouldn't able to forgive himself, he would blame himself even if it wasn't his fault
