Alice walked into the kitchen after she woke up the next morning and saw Freddie cooking while singing softly to Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen "Morning" she sat down beside him on the counter, looking at what he was cooking "Morning" he smiled softly "Those pancakes look good" she smiled softly "Have some" he pointed to a plate that already had some fresh pancakes with some syrup beside them

"Ooh" she smiled as she grabbed a plate from the cabinet "And you can put something on if you like" he chuckled as her face lit up "No, it's fine, I like Queen anyway" she put some pancakes on her plate "Really?" he smiled brightly as he looked over at her "Yea" she sat down starting to eat her pancakes with a soft smile "Oh I am so glad I met you" he finished making the pancakes

"You know, Snow White and the seven didn't come to every theater around America until February 4th, 1938?" she looked at him "Really?" he looked at her, her already knew this, but he knew what it was like to tell someone a fact and they say they already know it, it always makes the person feel like they aren't that smart "Yea, it first premiered in the Carthay Circle theater on December 21st, 1937" she smiled, she knew that look on his face, she always saw that look on peoples face when they say 'I already know this' but she appreciated the face that he didn't say that he already knew what she was saying "That's cool" he smiled softly at her

Later that night Alice was sleeping on the couch as Freddie was in the kitchen cooking listening to music while softly singing the words out loud "We're halfway there, woah oh, living on a prayer" he mumbled just before he heard Alice stir against her pillow, mumbling with a soft whimper of fear

He walked over to her after turning off the stove so nothing burned and sat down on the floor beside the couch and gently grabbed her hand "Shh, it's ok, you're safe" he whispered softly while rubbing circles on her hand

About an hour later Alice woke up and walked to the kitchen to see Freddie cooking and sat on the counter "Tacos for dinner, if that's ok" he looked at her "I love tacos" she smiled pushing hair out of her face "Good, good" he smiled back softly then finished cooking

"Freddie?" she looked at him after washing her plate and putting it in the strainer "Hm?" He looked up at her from his computer "What are we going to do now?" she sat down across from him "Well, I'm technically old enough to adopt you" he smiled softly "I'm serious" she had a stern look

"We'll make it Alice, we won't be evicted any time soon" he reassured her "Promise?" her look changed from stern to hopeful "Promise, besides, after dad died mom and I got his money, so" he smiled "Right" she smiled back, her eyes still showing a sad look that she had the moment Freddie found out she had lost her father
