"I'm at the location, but it seems...oddly quiet." I say through the comms as I walk past the iron gates to enter the village, nothing seems out of place other than an unattended fire in the center of the buildings. I look behind me, sensing something watching me, but I keep moving forward, refusing to let a instinct bother me. Whilst I trust them, I still need to get the mission done, danger or no.

"Watch your back. We've had reports of some raging-" the voice on the line says, but the sudden movement in an upstairs window has me tuning the voice out as I rush to the front door, grabbing my handgun.

"I've got movement. Seems like I'm not alone after all." I cut in, pressing myself to the wall, a hand on the knob as I begin to enter. All of a sudden there's another movement behind me, and I barely have time to spin around to see the tall bearded man standing there, some kind of large pendant hangs around his neck.

"We've no need for intruders." He says in a thick Spanish accent just as he grabs my neck, lifting me up as my feet dangle. I drop my gun, desperately clawing at his massive hand as he steps back and carries me away, but I lose consciousness before I can see where he takes me...

Leon POV
Almost a month later...

I wave a hand for Ashley to stay close. The last time I was in this village I was attacked and almost killed, and now I've finally located and rescued the president's daughter I'm not backtracking.

"So, this place is creepy." Ashley mumbles, her arms wrapped over herself as if in defence. I nod over my shoulder, feeling the same but not voicing it. It all seems oddly quiet though compared to earlier before the bell rung out. I stick to a chosen path, senses going into overdrive as I try to assess for any dangers or threats. For a short few minutes as we walk past houses and backways it's calm, until I faintly hear the sound of something banging.

I freeze, lifting my gun as Ashley edges closer to me, her breathing speeding up in a panic as I swing my head around, looking for the source of the sound.

Only a few loose chickens seem to stir though, which means nobody is around. The thumping comes again, it's unmistakably the sound of someone hitting something. I narrow my eyes, then against my better judgement I follow the noise. Ashley doesn't argue or comment, she just follows me, staying close as she peers over my shoulder. We end up at a small house on the corner of the village, tucked away behind fences.

"Stay behind me. If there's someone in here, keep your distance and give me room, okay?" I tell Ashley. As per usual, the young girl nods with worry, chewing her lip as I waste no time kicking in the door and pointing my gun at anyone inside.

Except, there isn't anyone. I frown, swearing I heard something? The thump comes again, from below. I go into the house, my boots heavy on the wooden floor, until they're not. I stare down at the floor, walking back and hearing the usual footsteps, then I step forward, hearing a more hollow sound. Ashley trails in behind me, closing the door and slumping against it.

"What is-" she begins, but already I'm kneeling down and prying the wood up with my knife. The first bit reveals a handle, two more and it reveals a trapdoor leading to some kind of basement.

"Lock that door behind you and stay here, shout me if you hear anything, and I mean anything, even a damn bird, okay? And don't follow me." I order to Ashley as I open the door, revealing a set of stairs. I don't wait for Ashley's reply as I begin the short descent into absolute darkness. I switch on my flashlight when I reach the bottom, and immediately I'm met with a face in front of me, snarling but squinting against the light.

I jump back, raising my knife ready to attack- but then I see the filthy hair, the ripped combat clothes and the streams of dried blood on her hands, as if she's been pounding at the door for a long time. "Agent Y/L/N?" I whisper out of disbelief. I'd heard about the missing agent here, but it wasn't on my 'to do' list to find her, I mean everyone assumed she was dead. Killed by the same man who ripped away her comms.
