~ 3rd Person POV ~

"Wah, so Miss Shinobu and her three sisters are all staying with you till' they find a new home?" A boy with fiery red hair asked, he bit into his onigiri and looked over to the ravenette man sitting beside him. The man nodded, looking down and not paying much attention to the other boy. "Yeah.. I messaged her father, Himejima, and he doesn't seem to be against it." The raventte— Giyuu Tomioka — said to the red haired boy, Tanjiro Kamado. "Which is good! I would also trust you with other lives, after all, you'd risk your life to protect others. You're a nice guy, Giyuu, he probably doesn't mind because he knows how trustworthy you are. He knows you'll keep his girls in good hands!" Tanjiro spoke highly of Giyuu, making him blush— Not a ship, brotherly love —. He took a bite of his onigiri and chewed slowly, his deep blue eyes wandering down to his feet. "You don't need to speak so highly of me.. I can't protect anyone.." "Hm? Tomioka - san? What do you mean?" "I wasn't able to protect anybody from my past.. I can't even protect people now. People die because I'm too late to missions.. there is nothing and nobody I can protect." he said. Tanjiro's face molded into a sad expression, frowning at the depressed man. "Don't say things like that! You're the water pillar, you protect tons—" "I'm not the water pillar." Giyuu cut the boy off, furrowing his eyebrows slightly. He sighed. If only he died and Sabito took his place.

Tanjiro bit his bottom lip, sadness welled up inside his body as he stopped feeling so jubilant, and now felt a bit depressed. An awkward pause formed between the two.. lasting for a few minutes, till' the sound of scratches were heard from inside the box Tanjiro sat beside him. The boy released a hum as he noticed his younger sister scratching, wanting to come out. "Huh? Nezuko, do you want to come out and play?" Tanjiro asked with a playful smile. He heard small hums come from inside of the box. The problem was, it was sunny out, it was only 3:45 Pm, he couldn't risk Nezuko getting burned out in the sun. He turned over to Giyuu who seemed to have spaced out into a state of deep thought. "Ah, Tomioka - san!" Tanjiro asked, catching his attention. Giyuu turned over too Tanjiro, a sweat bead rolling down his face as he began to feel nervous for some reason. "Yes?.." "Can you please take Nezuko and I to your house, we don't want to be a burden, but we're far from home and it'd be helpful if we could perhaps stay for a few hours!" Tanjiro asked, his tone was polite and his face had a nervous smile. Tanjiro was like the little brother Giyuu never had, how could he not help out a friend?
He sighed, and crossed his arms against his chest.
"Fine.."

The ravenette and red-headed boy both arrived at Giyuu's house. Giyuu took his zōri off while Tanjiro slid his boots off. "Thanks for doing this for Nezuko and I! We're both very grateful!" "It's not a problem.. you don't have to worry about it.." Giyuu just replied awkwardly. It felt weird to be sorrounded with so many people.. it wasn't the usual for him. He slid open the doors, the boys took a step inside and Tanjiro immedietly began to slide the box off when he heard fussy hums and mumbles coming from the inside of Nezuko's box. "One second, Nezuko, you'll be out soon!" he said with a joyful smile and set the box onto the floor. He opened the small door up, revealing a small Nezuko in her child form. She smiled and began to giggle happily, she embraced her big brother into a hug, which he happily hugged back. Giyuu watched the two siblings, he wanted to smile, but held composure.. Nezuko crawled out of her brothers grasp and stood up, she was the size of a five year old girl, but, began to grow, and grow.. till' she became the size of a twelve year old girl. Tanjiro looked down at her and smile. "Nezuko, if you didn't hear, Tomioka - san is allowing us to stay for a few hours! Isn't that great?" he said. He spoke to her as if she was a child— and well, she was. The poor girl lost her family at a young age, it wasn't like demons aged anyway. Twelve or fourteen, she was still a traumatized little girl, like how Tanjiro was a traumatized boy, only fifteen and having too carry many responsibilities on his back. Giyuu wondered how much the siblings could take.
