as the first rays of morning light filtered through the cream curtains, jungkook's mind stirred from its slumber, a gentle tug of anticipation pulling at his consciousness.

for that evening marked the unveiling of taehyung's much-anticipated collection to the public; an event that held a special place in both their hearts. it was a momentous occasion, one that would showcase the artist's talent and dedication to the world, and jungkook couldn't help but feel a flutter of something at the thought of being a part of it.

with a soft sigh, he stretched languidly, the warmth of his bed enveloping him in a comforting embrace. yet, even amidst the coziness of his room, the weight of the upcoming evening pressed upon him, a reminder of the significance of the event that awaitede.

as he swung his legs over the edge of the bed and padded across the room, the reality of the day ahead began to sink in. taehyung, with his effortless charm and humble demeanor, had become a fixture in jungkook's otherwise boringly dull life; a constant source of inspiration and admiration.

for some reason, as he hung out with the older man over the past few weeks, he'd forgotten about the artist's celebrity status. he kept forgetting that taehyung was from a whole different world. the man was so down to earth and so reserved- so humble and kind.

the artist didn't walk around the street with multiple body guards to draw attention like other celebrities did, he didn't cover his face with masks and hats.

no.

kim taehyung was... exposed. he walked around seoul by himself, taking a picture with the occasional fan if he was approached, and it seemed like he was just a normal, ordinary person. he blended in so effortlessly.

jungkook liked that.

despite his celebrity status, taehyung remained refreshingly grounded, his presence a soothing balm to jungnkook's soul. There was something inherently genuine about the artist, a sincerity that transcended the glitz and glamour of fame.

it was a big night for taehyung and the last thing he wanted to do was look... out of place beside the many art enthusiasts and celebrities that would likely be there. the artist had worked hard, and he wanted to look his best.

lost in his thoughts, jungkookk made his way to the kitchen, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. he poured himself a cup, the warmth seeping into his fingertips as he took a sip, the rich flavor invigorating his senses.

with his mind buzzing with anticipation, the brunette set about his morning routine, the soft hum of the radio providing a comforting backdrop to his preparations. as he fed coco, his beloved bunny, and indulged in a simple breakfast of cereal, he couldn't shake the feeling of excitement that bubbled within him.

and an hour later as he stood before his closet, the soft glow of late morning sunlight casting a warm glow upon the array of clothes, he felt a surge of determination.

he may not be accustomed to the world of high fashion and glamour, but he was determined to stand by taehyung's side with confidence and grace.

as he moved the clothes hangers along the rail, his gaze fell on a pretty outfit that he had worn to a wedding once before; it being a soft white turtleneck with dark grey slacks. it was nothing fancy, yet as he looked at it and pulled it from his wardrobe, he decide that it would do— for he couldn't just wear his usual sweatpants and a hoodie, could he?

as he began to dress in order to better examine the look, jungkook couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his appearance, a quiet confidence blooming within him. for tonight was not just about celebrating taehyung's artistic brilliance, but also about honoring their friendship and the journey they had embarked upon together.

with a final glance in the mirror, he smiled, his reflection a testament to the excitement and anticipation that thrummed through his veins.

as he stepped out into the world, ready to face the day ahead, he knew that no matter what challenges lay in store, he would embrace them with open arms.

guided by the unwavering bond of friendship he shared with the artist.

"yoongi hyung." taehyung's steps echoed softly against the polished marble floors of the gallery as he approached the mint haired man, the warm glow of overhead spotlights casting a gentle radiance over the space.

the room was a symphony of muted hues and sleek lines, with each piece of artwork meticulously arranged to create an atmosphere of refined elegance.

dressed in his more casual attire, the artist exuded an air of calm confidence as he cradled the clipboard in his hands, his eyes flickering with a mix of determination and apprehension.

his movements were deliberate, each gesture imbued with a sense of purpose as he navigated through the gallery, ensuring that every detail was perfect for the upcoming event.

yooni, clad in a not his usual comfies, stylish ensemble that exuded effortless sophistication, lounged casually against a nearby display table, his expression a playful mixture of amusement and admiration as he observed the younger's meticulous preparations.

a glass of wine dangled casually from his fingers, the crimson liquid shimmering in the soft light as he took a leisurely sip.

the artwork, veiled beneath pristine white sheets, stood like silent sentinels, waiting patiently for their moment to be unveiled to the world. each canvas held the promise of untold stories and hidden emotions, their surfaces a blank canvas upon which the artiste had poured his heart and soul.

"you really know how to prepare." yoongi grinned, sipping on some wine as he watched the dark haired artist walk towards him, dressed in simple black sweatpants and hoodie. "you've always been such a great party planner."

"it needs to... be perfect." the artist explained, frowning as he looked down at the clipboard. "my parents are coming, and jungkook is too. i want it to be perfectly organised." he looked up at the other man. "hyung, would you say we need more red or white wine?"

"hm.." yoongi looked around the exhibition, multiple canvases, each covered with a white sheet stood upon a platform. there were circular tables littered around, each decorated elegantly and a food table along the opposing wall. "maybe five of each? five of the rosé, too."

taehyung ran a hand through his hair, nodding before making a note on the clipboard. "i've done this plenty of times before, but knowing that jungkook is going to be here this time... i'm nervous." he admitted, shaking his head before looking up. "funny, isn't it?"

"man, i can't wait to meet this boy." yoongi grinned, cackling. "after months of you hiding him from me, i finally get to meet the boy that stole your heart~"

"yeah." taehyung just smiled slightly, rolling his eyes. "speaking of, i'm picking him up this evening... so can you make sure to keep everything running smoothly?"

yoongi just nodded, his eyes softening at his friend's behaviour. "of course."
