(Continuation of Prologue)

"Ano ulit?" Chrizzna said as I glared at her at tumawa naman siya.

"Pinapakyu mo ba ako Chrizzna?" Inis na sabi ko na mas kinatawa niya.

"Good thing na umuwi ako this time of the year at masasaksihan ko kung paano mo kunin pabalik yang ex mo." Sabi niya at umirap ako.

"Diba babalik ka na sa Tuesday?" Tanong ko at tumango naman siya.

"Oo." Ngumuso naman siya kaya ako naman ang tumawa.

"Bisitahin mo kaya si Jace ngayon." Ngumisi ako kaya tinignan niya ako nang masama.

"Pakyu." Umirap siya at tumawa naman ako. Her phone beeped and she checked on it.

"Nandiyan na yung sundo ko." She pouted as I smiled and walked her out.

Kuya Zac was leaning on his car and he snapped his eyes on us when he saw us approaching.

Chrizzna entered his car and I was about to leave when he talked.

"Liam is doing good." He said as I smiled.

"Good then." I smiled and went back to my condo.

"Go straight to his office daw po." Sabi nung receptionist kaya napapikit ako nang mariin.

"Thank you." Kako at pumunta na sa elevator at priness yung floor na sinabi nung receptionist.

I knocked on his door and I heard him reply.

"Come in." He replied with such a cold voice that it sent shivers down my spine.

"Uh, sir." I said and his eyes looked at me.

"Oh, Engineer Rodriguez. Take a sit." He said and gestured to the couch as I smiled and sat down.

"So regards to your employment. You will be working in the Engineering department obviously. There's a project in Tagaytay that was supposed to be handled by one of our engineers but he resigned so you'll be the one to take over it." Sabi niya at tumango naman ako.

"May I know the details of the project?" Tanong ko at tumango siya at binigay sa akin iyong folder.

"It's a resort by the Perez's." He uttered as I nodded.

We talked more about my employment and about the project.

"That will be all for your employment. As of now, you'll be fixing your table right there." He pointed to the office beside him. I frowned.

"Hindi po ba nasa baba ng floor na ito yung engineering department?" Tanong ko at tumaas ang kilay niya.

"No. You'll be working here because I'm also a part of the project so I can easily talk to you about it." Sabi niya at tumango naman ako.

"Lahat ng gamit mo nandoon na. If ever you need help with something just tell my secretary." Sabi niya at tumango naman ako.

I was about to walk away because it was already feeling so awkward but he talked.

"I forgot to ask." He talked as I looked back at him.

"Yung alin po?" Tanong ko at ngumuso siya.

"Not connected to the project or your employment but...." He trailed as I tilted my head.

"Pero ano po?" I asked as he pursed his lips.

"Hindi mo ba ako namiss?" He asked as my eyes widened.
